Let us not forget Shakey was good enough to earn a ride in GPs. Two in fact... I don't understand what problems he has had this year but certainly wouldn't suggest he isn't up to world standards.

It would be nice to see him re-united with Aprilia next year

Good to see that Blade isn't "past it". Nice one... So what is it about the Rob Mac Yamaha squad? Even Hizzy didn't make it in there after the two years when he won (and would have won barring the collision with Reynolds) BSB.
