Hey Nori fan

Let's be clear.

Spies had 25 pts stolen from by the famous Fab torpedo.

Hagi lost 10 pts to Fab.

Case 1: Spies stolen pts were out of his control.
Case 2: Nori lost his pts because he couldn't keep up to his teammate. Well within his control .. just race harder if want to be Champ and not have pts gift wrapped.

Suck it up. Spies by far deserves this Title.

Anyone who makes it full time as part of a MotoGP race team can leave with their head held high.

If Dani doesn't finish 3rd then both he and Honda should be extremely disappointed with their performance. They are competing against Stoner who effectively spotted them 4 races worth of points (tire fiasco and abandoned 3 races) and the gap is just 3 points.

Hey Sven, I agree. There will be bickering until next year if Spies ends-up winning the title by less than 5 points. Although I believe the margin either way will be much more than 5 points. We're assuming that Haga and Spies will finish 1 and 2 in both races, with only 5 points swings, but this is seldom the case. In the last race, Haga was behind by 2 points and at the end he was ahead by 10. That 1 race was more than a 5 point swing.

I never really thought about the background story with tires. How do tires get from Pirelli to each team? What's the normal protocol for a Rider claiming tire failure? Citing a tire failure is a big accusation against the quality standards of Pirelli. Wouldn't and shouldn't Pirelli want or get a chance to do failure analysis?

A championship is the acculmulation of points. Period. At the end of the season the 'what-if's' don't count for anything. It may sooth us posters with point and counter-point discussions and those are quite interesting threads but the Title will belong to Haga or Spies based on points. On a different thought, I believe Ducati will not issue Fab any team order as this would cloud Haga's Title. Haga has been waiting for a long time to win a Title. He definitely wants to win this on his own merit. It's Him and his Duc against Spies and the Yam. Haga is a proud man, a good guy, and just wants to 'Bring It On'! How often does a championship get decided on the last day?

This article doesn't a chance of getting many comments when it's competing against Spies going to MotoGP. Sorry gals. Should have been on a slower news day.

Team Orders can get out of hand. We can have NASCAR bash 'n' crash. And if's apparent that Fab is blocking Spies should the Yamaha Team order to Sykes be to almost get lapped by Haga and then block him? T-bone him perhaps? Jump on the back of Haga's bike and put his hands over Haga's eyes? I believe Fab will be allowed to race his own race and leave Haga's destiny to Haga himself. I believe Ducati and Haga will want the honourable choice.

In fact, Bayliss didn't have to compete against anyone with the caliber of Spies, or Haga on a 1200 Duc. I guess this means Bayliss won it against a weak field also. posted by fan. I would like to edit that from 'a weak field also' to 'a weaker field'.

This may be considered Fab's first real win. His last win was compliments of Spies running out of gas. Hardly a win to be too proud of. This time however, Fab rode well and earned and deserved the victory. Fab would not have been happy to throw this away. Haga would not have been happy to get bogus pts. I beleive the decision to let Fab go made both riders happy. Way to go Ducati!

Haga back in form? That's an understatement. Haga needed to go out there today and perform and, wow, did he ride very well today. Excellent day for the Ducati Team. Only a few pts between Haga and Ben with 4 races to go. Excellent.
