Hey Nori fan

Let's be clear.

Spies had 25 pts stolen from by the famous Fab torpedo.

Hagi lost 10 pts to Fab.

Case 1: Spies stolen pts were out of his control.
Case 2: Nori lost his pts because he couldn't keep up to his teammate. Well within his control .. just race harder if want to be Champ and not have pts gift wrapped.

Suck it up. Spies by far deserves this Title.

Sorry Motogp Support... If a WSBK race and a MotoGP race were airing at the same time, I'd be watching the WSBK race and catching a taped version of MotoGP whenever I had a chance later in the evening.

Why are all these excuses being generated for Marco?

There are 2 similar threads at work here. I copied this from another entry '5th place goal'. Marco has nothing to lose regarding riding on the edge to win. He's not in the WSBK Title chase and his 250cc Title is also gone. So he can afford to win or bin. Let's recall that his competition, Spies, won race 2 at Philip Island on his maiden WSB tour. Anything short of at least 1 victory on Sunday should be considered a failure.

I have a bad feeling about this. Marco has nothing to lose regarding riding on the edge to win. He's not in the WSBK Title chase and his 250cc Title is also gone. So he can afford to win or bin. Although this will be an interesting outing for us to watch and then discuss afterwards, I'm trying to understand the point? Why would Marco want to risk this? What's to gain? Does he want to try a big bike? OK, but the Aprilia WSB bike is not a Honda MotoGP bike. Does he think he has nothing to lose? Does he think he can slide over to WSB for 1 race and clean-up? If he wins he's a hero but if he loses he's just a rookie who doesn't have the experience with the guys on big bikes? I wonder how Honda feels about this? What if Marco gets hurt during this race?

Rossi won’t have any 'fun' with F1. If Rossi has a bad qualifying session in MotoGP, then when the flag drops he just picks off the other riders one-by-one and gets in the lead. For F1, typically after the first 2 turns you basically have your running order after the initial bash 'n' crash 'n' pass. The running order typically has more changes due to pitt strategy than racing. You hear the F1 announcers almost having a stroke with excitement when there is an occasional real live pass on the track. Will Rossi really want tot be part of that?

I have watched this afew times and enjoy it more each time. It was great to see all Yam guys involved with this promotion. The end with Rossi giving that 'all knowing smile' was great. There is a group of people somewhere who hit a homerun with the writing of this video. I think why it's so funny is initially I thought it was a serious video and he was going to share some personal information and strategy that I thought would be informative. When he started talking about a kitten I thought wtf?????

Hey R.Jones .. back at you .. you have many good posts in this thread. Keep up the thoughtful posts. @sukhoi 46 .. Agree - would love to see Rossi on a Duc and win. That'd be another point on his GOAT Resume. Disagree - as many of us on this forum believe, as a minimum, Rossi won't retire until he has more cumulative wins in the 500cc and MotoGP (we'll call it premiere class) than Agonisti. I also believe he'll go 1 further and stick around until he's beaten Ago's premiere Championship total of 8. If he doesn't do this, surely there will be people who will use that stat to counter Rossi GOAT status.

How about these guys concentrate on the MotoGP challenge instead of some hill top?

Compounding the difficulty in trying to rank the manufacturers and unfair advantages is that in motorcycle racing, the Riders have a bigger impact than car drivers on vehicle performance. If Canepa had the only M1 he still wouldn't be on a podium. At the end of the season we'd be talking about how crap the M1 is. Where do we stop trying to even things out? Suspension is just as critical to performance as tires so why not also dictate the front and rear choices? Every team looks for an advantage. That's part of the racing drive. Bottom line .. MotoGP is supposed to be the elite series and handcuffing the manufacturers and teams with too many rules will diminish this.
