(con't) Germany does seem to be a good track for Haga so it should be a good race. But I hope he knows to back-off and not reinjure himself if it looks like a Spies day. There are many pts yet to collect and I wouldn't want to see Haga toss his bike and hand pts over to Spies.

Haga is downplaying his injuries and will still be riding hurt. He’s got courage and drive no doubt. He is still in the pts lead and needs to remember that. Every racer wants to win every race but they need to know when to back off and collect safe pts by bringing it home safely. For some races, even the best know it’s not their day and they just won’t win the race. I believe the Donnington crash was like that. It was going to Spies day and Haga should have backed-off a little and collected the 2nd place pts. I know it’s against Haga’s basic principles but a championship is about collecting pts. (con't)

From a more objective point of view, being neither from the UK or USA, and as much as I like Toseland (rooted for him during his Ten Kate WSBK Title quest), I have to say that he just isn’t providing satisfactory results. The status of MotoGP being a premier league can soon be in jeopardy if we allow racers to be awarded seats based on sponsorship rather than merit. If James remains with Tech3 for 2010 he'll have no choice but to improve his game otherwise I suspect he'll be out performed by all the hungry new 250cc recruits. If this happens then he'll surly be out in 2011.

Exactly JJ and rx. Good to see him happy. With so few bikes, a racer is guaranteed pts just by staying on the bike. Talmacsi received 2 pts today despite finishing last. With 1 more finishing spot left, I could have been out there a inherited a championship pt.

I have to believe that Rossi understands that Lorenzo is very talented and is a genuine threat. Rossi was 50pts ahead. Although keep in mind that Rossi nipped Lorenzo twice for wins .. meaning that it was very close to being Lorenzo victories. Lorenzo then made 2 mistakes and crashed giving Rossi a 50 pt advantage. They are much closer than the initial 50 pts indicated. Now Rossi made an error and we're only 25pts separated. Look at what Lorenzo did today. Despite previous crashes while leading, he passed Rossi very early instead of playing the safe follow the leader and waiting for race end to make a move. These 2 FIAT guys will be giving us a show for the next races.

wosideg It's against the rules to jump on a spare bike. They would have had to fix up his crashed bike. It looked like the throttle was pretty much bashed-up. I would believe they wouldn't have enough time to get it repaired and get Rossi back out there circulating.

Hey Patto, I didn't know Rossi owned the rights to victory celebrations. Let me get this straight .... Whatever Rossi does equals good Whatever anybody ele does equals bad. Do I have that right?

I would have thought Rossi would have learned from his costly 2006 crash. This could be another very costly error. 50 pts is now 25 pts with many more pts up for grabs. Argo’s record is very important but the Title more so.

El Bigonio. ... Tech 3 not keen on an American Team. I hope that's not true. That would be a shame if Tech 3 would actually choose to have a diminished team just for the sake of not having an all American team. I didn’t know having 2 Americans on the same team would be considered within the same league as one of the criteria for h3ll to freeze over.
