F1 » Ferrari boss calls for F1 ‘revolution’ to win back fans

The essence of racing is wheel to wheel completion. forget the technical bits. My first GP races were at Watkins glen. No Armco. Just a narrow band of asphalt winding through the trees. Cars were tiny 1 1/2 liter but they were amazing in they were driven at top speed. I'll never forget Graham Hill hitting the Carousel without braking scrubbing off speed. If anything in the fragile Lotus broke he was history. Today it's just boring slot cars.

MotoGP » Mees praises Marquez after losing ‘crapshoot’

shakennstirred:
aeolus: Not to take anything away from Marquez, but he did seem to have a trick bike. It would be best if the riders all rode the same machine.
im sure mees wouldnt have come with a crap bike, do you? he is after all the ama champ
Mees himself said that Marquez's bike had a lot of buttons on the dash. Plus he was sent an engine to use. Do you think this was a stock engine?

MotoGP » Mees praises Marquez after losing ‘crapshoot’

TedG: Gentlemen, Read the article, Mee's engine stalled when they had the incident and had to restart it. Then he ran him down. Of course MM had a trick dialed in bike. That is what you bring to a race.
I don't think Mees rides these small models as a rule plus he is not going to make any money at this event so why should he spend the money to ship a bike from the US even if he did have access to a factory tuned bike as did MM. If MM keeps this up of having full Honda support for his bike he will kill any support from overseas pro riders.
