MotoGP » Yamaha explain Valentino Rossi’s return

@Realist So Rossi had already decided that Ducati wasn't ever going to give him a winner but there was all that loot on the table so he was stringing Ducati along, not taking any risks if he could help it while Yamaha was giving Ben Yamaha rejects and making nice about how much they supported him. Well, it's a tough world and money talks and bull ****e walks as they say. Ben and Mama just aren't up to the game at this level.I suppose it's forlorn hope that he could return on a Suzuki but even that would be a gamble for him. Ben should emulate Rossi and coast from now on.

MotoGP » Yamaha explain Valentino Rossi’s return

I still would like the straight poop about how this came down. "I would say there had been some discussion in the background for some time about a return to Yamaha for 2013 and the real negotiations probably began in July." Sounds like Yamaha decided to ditch Ben well before even Mugello and Ben took the bait and made Yamaha's job immeasurably easier by quitting, Now Yamaha is trying to have it both ways by insinuating Ben had the ride if he wanted it. Ben is immature and easily manipulated.

MotoGP » Ben Spies accident caused by 'broken swingarm'

Pedro was not moving at speed when his throttle stuck and it is rare indeed for a top line manufacturer to have mechanical issues these days. Yes an engine will occasional let go but not that often especially now with the limits in place. On the other hand, Ben's swing arm failure recalled to mind Colin Chapman and his Lotus GP racers (the f-1 of the day) that killed several drivers (Jim Clark the most noteworthy but also Jochen Rindt) with suspension failures. The Williams team spent years in court battling the Italian justice system because of a equipment failure that killed Ayrton Senna.Had Ben's swing arm failed at Mugello at 214 mph and killed him you can know that Yamaha would be in court fighting criminal charges.

MotoGP » Ben Spies accident caused by 'broken swingarm'

This is certainly a strange season. Riders crash sometimes several times during a race meet but how many suffer crashes or impaired performance as a result of hidden damage? Cal crashes a lot and he has had no equipment failures that have been made public. On the other hand the idea of sabotage is too far from reality to consider. strange days! But clearly Ben has a real beef with certain Yamaha officials for reasons unknown. Maybe Ben is a guinea pig for Jorge being supplied with lightened parts before they are cleared for use by JL. that's all I can think of.
