MotoGP » Ben Spies accident caused by 'broken swingarm'

This is certainly a strange season. Riders crash sometimes several times during a race meet but how many suffer crashes or impaired performance as a result of hidden damage? Cal crashes a lot and he has had no equipment failures that have been made public. On the other hand the idea of sabotage is too far from reality to consider. strange days! But clearly Ben has a real beef with certain Yamaha officials for reasons unknown. Maybe Ben is a guinea pig for Jorge being supplied with lightened parts before they are cleared for use by JL. that's all I can think of.

MotoGP » 'Fine-tuning' for Ben Spies

@ RocketR1 Agreed. It's good to see names from the late lamented US Red Bull Rookie Cup in the class and Cameron Beaubier looks to be the class of the field. But he really needs to be in Europe now and learning the tracks and experiencing the varying weather conditions. But that takes money...a lot. I would bet the Esparago brothers either have a wealthy family or sponsor. Alix came from nowhere for a MotoGP ride!but I would put my money on Pol.

MotoGP » 'Fine-tuning' for Ben Spies

So far so good. As it should certainly be given the superior equipment he has. Maybe he sees the title out of reach and doesn't want to end up like Colin the class clown. Nicky has carved out a comfortable niche for himself as a test rider but he has personal skills that are an asset that Ben and Colin lack. With only Joe Roberts in Red Bull Rookies part time the future for American fans of MotoGP looks bleak.

MotoGP » Ben Spies steers clear of 2013 talk

Ben is playing right into Jervis' hands. As I see it Jervis had regretted signing a 2 year deal and wanted to get rid of Ben without offending Yamaha America. Sooo he gave him the dirty end of the stick from the start of the season so Ben would quit. This would account for the obvious animosity between Ben and unnamed Yamaha officials. Ben's main problem is he lacks commitment and wants to coast to the title. Soup reports he doesn't to any moto training in the off season and if the weather is cold and damp he is reluctant to push. But BMW has to know what it is getting in the way of a competitor.

MotoGP » Can MotoGP ever crack the USA?

I would have loved for Rossi to expound more on his take on Supersport and AMA riders compared to the Euro style.Talking about attendance, it is well known that Spain and Italy are among the hardest hit in the economic sphere so the crowds at Leguna should be reasonably good tho' Soup advertises hotel rooms still available in Monterrey.
