MotoGP » Ben Spies hunting first US GP podium

Makes it sound like it was his call. Not likely I would think. Hate to have him leave a quitter. He has been a winner all his life and the realization that there was no way he was ever going to be a MotoGP world champ must have knocked the stuffing out of him. Big disappointment but it will save me the $130 for Dorna feed next season anyway.

MotoGP » Dovizioso making Tech 3 MotoGP podium history

He doesn't come with a pot of money that I am aware and he wore that ridiculous hat for too long. This has doomed him to satellite bikes. But he certainly has improved over Spies who has a physiological problem I have decided that he might not be capable of surmounting. Smith looks like not ready for the big time by any means. Who knows what will happen to Cal at this juncture.WSBK? Could happen.

MotoGP » Lorenzo to Ben Spies: Stay calm and focused

At this point Ben seems to be unsure of what was the cause of his strange malady that came over him overnight before the race. This could well be a case of nerves or extreme pressure which is far more difficult to control. Hopefully being back on home territory will give him the boost he needs to break out of this rut he is in. If not, he is on his way out. Already Soup is passing along the rumor of a BMW ride in SB next season pairing him with Milandri. Makes sense from a business point of view to BMW.

MotoGP » Illness bugs Ben Spies at Mugello

At some point one has to wonder what is going on! Every race it's something new. Did anyone else in his party get sick? Does he eat in such disreputable places? If it's not the tires it's the food. Wonder what excuse he will have at Laguna. He is going down the CEII path: doing reasonably well in practice, but come race day they try a new setting and disaster. This could be a smokescreen.

MotoGP » Costly fall for under pressure Spies

One would think Yamaha would be thinking about the possibility of Jorge being injured, Then only the Tech 3 riders would be in a position to support the brand as Spies has shown himself to be unable to perform at a high level. With HRC having Pedro and Marc next season, Yamaha will need an equally strong team and Spies will not fit the bill. Cal has the unknown going for him while Dovie while fast has never been able to hoist himself up to the top level. Yamaha has made a bad bet with Spies and might want to take a chance on Pol or Luthi.
