Checa is still top ten in the Championship, that puts nearly 20 guys behind him every weekend so he still no slouch, besides, I imagine the sponsorship he brings with him is highly lucrative fo the team, Rio has been a bit of a disapointment this year, British Superbikes beckoning?

At least he is still yound enough to go back to Moto2, make a name for himself and make HRC wish they had kept him. Politics seem to be running all the motor based sports of late and it is a sad testiment to the world we now live in. :-o

I am sure he will have an offer on the table in WSBK before the silly season kicks off, he is a great talent and an asset to any team wishing to be right up the front.

As long as the racing is good, the passes are clean and I get so excited I have to sit on the edge of my sofa until the last round i shall be happy! :)

He does love himself doesn't he? How much self importance can one man have? There is a reason the retirment age in this country is 65, well unless you are a lawyer, FIA president or owner of the F1 name!

It never hurts to have a back up plan and it seems FOTA have been making preparations for a while, whether they are actual preparations or just plans I am sure we will find out in the fullness of time.

Anyone can have a bad race, whether it is strategic or a problem with the car, Barrichello is still capable of running at the front towards the twilight of his career, that is very impressive, it shows how much desire to suceed is still there, as for retiring would you running second in the championship? I think not! Fixed race? please!

Does seem to be some what over shadowed which is a shame, as most people what F1 for the racing rather than the bickering

Top 5 is a bit optimistic, he is going to struggle to beat Spies and Haga, Lorenzo will be up there too, both the Airwaves bikes are quick as well, I think top 10 would be a good result.
