F1 » Massa stands by call to ignore team order

Eh I think Williams were right to make the call. They're a team trying to get as many Constructor's points as they possibly can. They don't care who's in front. So with Massa not having been able to overtake Button, why not give Bottas a go to see if he can? It doesn't cost Williams anything. That being said, the way they gave the order was hardly going to help any. They basically said verbatim what Ferrari said and they thought Massa would listen after being reminded of that? Doubtful. Now I'm not the biggest fan of team orders as there's a Driver's Championship as well as a Constructor's Championship so there's this element of 'every man for himself' but Williams aren't going to care as much about the Driver's Championship as they will the Constructors' so they sensed an opportunity to get a couple more points and Massa wasn't doing the job. Their rationale is perfectly reasonable. If one driver couldn't do it, let's try with the other. Nothing wrong with that.

F1 » Malaysian Grand Prix - Race results

Congrats to Hamilton. Had Rosberg et al. sorted. Drivers of the race for me were Hulkenberg and Button. Hulk did a great job for 5th. His pace was great too and Button managing to keep Massa behind despite the Williams being the better package was an achievement. Speaking of Massa he'll not have been happy hearing those team orders :P Good for him for not listening though from Williams' perspective I can see why they put the order out there. Massa wasn't getting past Button, they wouldn't have lost anything by doing it, why not see if Bottas could make the move stick?

Surprised Raikkonen was up there. He was nowhere to begin with then suddenly he starts hooking it all up. Nice one. Merc I imagine have a bit left in the tank. Ferrari and McLaren look quite even, although the McLaren seems to be a bit more hooked to the track so could prove the difference. Just me speculating though :p
