oh please !!! potential this potential that... come on!!! motogp isn't for guys with "potential" it's for guys that are the BEST. JT hasn't shown true pace as yet in motogp - in my opinion. CV has won a race and stood on podiums but is starting to fall into the "potential" question marks category also. the mere fact that JT, his mum and every other JT fan on here is doing cartwheels over a 6th - that should have been a 9th - shows that JT needs "true pace" a whole lot more than he needs "potential"...

ah come on buddy... it's ok mate. of course you could do well in the new redbull. it's got wings and you were obviously partly responsible for the progression up the grid. maybe the biggest influence you had was on mr newey in giving him wings to give the cars wings. i'm sure mrD would give you a run at some point. and lastly, try to speak up a touch in your commentary, you opinions are interesting but your voice doesn't seem to travel as far as australia.

did i read somewhere that young jorge has been utilizing the many wonders of meditation? i'm sure i did... or is this meditation an effort to memory wipe certain 2008 issues such as high-side catapult rides and death threats from his bitter x-manager. from the (very) outside it seems like the kid has grown from an arrogant young brat to a refined competitor defining himself as a classic spanish gentleman gladiator! if his on track performances continue to reflect his off track progress (& vice versa) he is going to be a great champion regardless of statistics in my humble opinion.

i would love to see him grab a laguna podium and anyone who's seen him punt a sbk or motogp bike around the place knows he can do it... but will he or wont he??? consistency hasn't been good - unless you enjoy being between 5th and 11th... you would like to hope that he could be somewhat reassured in the fact that his best results have always been on "riders tracks" and/ or in the wet (philip island)... with a better package we would see better results but better bikes don't grow on trees.

i am a massive motogp fan and also a big fan of f1. i would love nothing more than to see rossi have a dig at competitive f1. it seems many here feel that he would take a long time to develop into a winner if ever. i have watched too many acts of brilliance to ever right the guy off. not saying that he would set the world on fire but i am saying that you would have to be a bitter fool not to enjoy watching him try! bring on 2011

GREAT NEWS!!! cross over drives/ rides are highly appealing to fans worldwide. look at race of champions... how good is it seeing travis pastrana up against DC and the like? bikes should have the same deal going... ferrari stopping him??? didn't work for mclaren did it??? old james hunt managed to dust of the old helmet for the odd snowmobile and speed boat race... top level competition seems to strangle personalities... the side of kimi that he hides from us is the same side that made us all adore the likes of his name sake james hunt.... rossi is the class act here and proves that winning on sunday -WITH personality- sells more on monday than winning alone

best news of the round. #69 is a great example of a kid taught to respect others and never give up. i was following that battle all race and couldn't help but wonder why these battles only seem to happen mid pack or behind??? anyway, excuses or not i hope #69 uses this as a platform for further improvements. #69 isn't matching #27 on track at the moment but he is light years ahead in terms of sportsmanship... unfortunately #69's behavior is just a bit more australian!

tonedef, take your point about JT "needing more experience" etc but i'm sure the team are saying that they "need more results!" you really sure the BEN wont come play with the big boys? i give it 3 weeks before he is named in a motogp team...

haha, 52 comments for jimmiT. the jammer has to be the 53rd!!! so... will JT and the BEN do a o ten swap? the BEN has to be the best new talent since who knows when. BUT will he translate to motogp? his rizla guest rides were above average at best but his o nine sbk form has been sublime... bring on the BEN and lets see how JT goes on a o ten R1...
