MotoGP » Lorenzo predicts 'big season' for Rossi

Simple fact is Dani really has advantage but cant utilise it... Guna. Not an advantage then is it? To me,an advantage is something you use to beat your opponents. Dani is super fast and holds many track records but that doesnt win you titles necessarily. When you are consistently being beaten by heavier riders,i fail to see where the advantage is in being so light weight. If anything,it is Danis light weight that has been a handicap to him. Especially where injury is concerned.

MotoGP » Lorenzo predicts 'big season' for Rossi

I have said this many times before,if Dani was romping off with the title every year,i would agree that light weight is an extreme advantage and restrictions could be placed on these micro weight riders. But the simple fact is,he isnt! He is by far the lightest guy on the grid and has spent his premier class career on a full factory Honda with no titles to show for it. So where is the advantage?

MotoGP » Rossi outlines 2014 targets at Yamaha launch

Codger. I think it is fair to say that the Ducati didnt stay the same during the time Casey rode it,but it certainly didnt get the investment that Honda and Yamaha put in to their bikes. And i think it is for this reason that Caseys results went down over the 4 years he was there. They didnt improve the bike as much as Honda and Yamaha improved theirs.Yamaha and Honda simply caught up. Ducati were left behind by the Japanese manufacturers which is not that surprising when you look at the difference in the budgets they have. As to whether Casey would end up in hospital if he tried to ride todays Ducati is pure conjecture and we will never know. Personally i believe he would surprise a few people, just as he did during the 4 years he rode for them.

Difference between Rossi and Stoner on Ducati is not that big like you guys say... Guna. Come on mate,i appreciate that Val is your favourite and thats fair enough, but to suggest that Vals efforts on the Ducati arent that different from those of Casey is quite ludicrous. Val never won a race on the Ducati or even came close to winning one. Casey won 23 races and loads of other podiums and track records. There is no comparison between their results. Not taking anything away from Vals other achievements though. He has been a worthy champion over the years.
