MotoGP » MotoGP Penalty Points revised for 2014

This could make things interesting! I have said many times that i am all for a bit of fairing clashing as long as it doesnt go too far. The problem is,how far is too far? Where is the line drawn in the sand and what have you got to do to cross it? Track discipline is very important but we dont want to see riders put in a situation where they are afraid to make a bold overtaking move because of fear of punishment. People complain as it is that we dont see enough "real racing".

MotoGP » Lorenzo 'the best' in MotoGP, says Rossi

Val has the skill,no question about that.He hasnt forgotten how to ride a bike. But he has or seems to have lost his focus, his mental strength. Maybe he has got to the point in his career where he doesnt feel like taking the risks like he used to. Those nightmare seasons at Ducati definately took a toll on him.His confidence took a beating and it seems like he hasnt recovered from it. I hope he can get it back next season and we can enjoy some of his old style racing again. But Marc,Jorge and Dani are going to make it so tough again in 2014. Will it be his last season? I hope not. But if the fire is no longer burning?

Lorenzo will never win another championship. RFS131. Hmmm,i seem to recall quite a few people making just that claim about Casey after he won the title in 2007! How did that work out? I think Jorge is easily capable of winning several more titles before he calls it a day. As Vkal says,it only takes an injury from Marc or Dani to open the door. Never say never.

Realist. I know that Marc was very consistent this season, but it would not be very realistic to suggest Jorges broken collar bone didnt have a significant affect on the outcome of the championship. Whenever one of the titles major protagonists is injured,it is bound to have some affect on the title outcome. Especially when there are only 4 riders in with a shout at winning the title in the first place. Was Vals path to the 2009 title made easier by Casey missing 3 races that year? Quite probably. Was Jorges path to the 2010 title made easier by Val busting his leg? Again, quite probably. Those are just 2 recent examples. As i have stated,my belief is that Jorge would have defended his title if not for that injury. But of course, that is purely conjecture on my part and i will never be able to prove it. Not taking anything away from Marc though. He is a worthy champion.
