F1 » Hamilton tops FP2 from Alonso

dale: Is it that Webber was not up to much and that Vettel was just whipping an average driver? Or is Ricciado showing that any decent driver could come to Red Bull and challenge and beat the 4 times world champion?
Neither. Just like Kimi, Vettel is obviously struggling with the new cars. It doesn't devalue eithers skill or accomplishments in anyway IMO. Both are still amongst the top 4 on the grid.

F1 » Maldonado targets points

....... " Maldonado's wealthy father intervened, promising to pay for the marshal's recovery and rehabilitation from a broken back. That intervention saved Maldonado's future formula one career, as no team would hire a regular driver that cannot participate in the sport's most famous race."

F1 » Mercedes calling for increased Red Bull sanction

Rich, that is a good desciption or the issues. Like 1jez I totally agree. :p Tai, totally agree also. F1 is supposed to be about good pr. Merc are ahead by a mile, yet are belittling other teams and their fans or anyone that doesn't spout their talking points. They got a HUGE break last year, but now are going out of their way to hurt another team, that could come back to haunt them like you said. I kind of think they are being SORE winners here and it just may also turns fans against them. Theyre might arrogant so far.

F1 » Mosley happy to accept 'blame' for F1’s new soundtrack

So Max is willing to take the blame.... I assume he'll only do that as long as he is punished for it. I think the world would have been far better off without ANY of this Mosley family's 'social responsibility'. So that's who actually like the sound of these new engines....people who have hearing problems....disrespect is meant for the engine sound, NOT peple with hearing problems as the engines don't sound right, volume aside.

F1 » Domenicali stands down at Ferrari

I Totally agree with all the 'nice guy'statements here, wish he could have made it work to show the some of the other principles you don't have to be a @#$% to make it in F1......guess that's only wishful thinking, this is F1 after all. Hope the guy from the road car/customer side do better? After 23 years they must be able to find another slot him, there's an open pos as NA CEO. Unfortunately LDM wont be leaving also. Ferrari is much more than just the F1 team. The road car side has been IMMENSELY successful under LDM and the F1 team has been too revenue wise.

F1 » Maldonado targets points

Snottub: I think you're right, he should be put out to Pastor. But how do you make that stick. In 2005 while driving WRC in Monaco he ran down a marshal, seriously injuring him for which he received a 4 race ban and a LIFE ban at Monacoand yet the following year he was racing there in GP2. So much for a life ban. And the list just goes on and on.....
Interesting to learn of yet more carnage he has wrought... smh. Slight correction was WSR, World series by Renault, not Rallying (WRC). To make things worse..."

F1 » Dennis: My decision to give Magnussen F1 drive

riccy: but I will always give credit to Ron for giving young talent a chance . Ferrari please take note.
I'm trying to remember which of RGT's many user names posted that exact comment in the past, might have been Kimired. Before you ask who is Kimired he disappeared the day before your account was started......
Ha, you've confirmed my suspicions about this 'new' account and kimired/RGT. He didn't waste anytime with the fanboy talk with this account. I think there is at least one other that he is also currently using. As for the comment, I guess the Ferrari Young Driver Program and all the drivers that have come thru it to F1 doesn't count??... F1 » New US team awarded FIA Formula 1 licence

With other teams on the verge of closing up this just may only keep the status quo. With how much costs have skyrocketed I don't see how some of the smaller teams can keep going, especially with how little $$ they get from FOM. I think the teams that actually participate and make up the show should get a bigger piece of the pie. Like most sports leagues F1 needs teams to be successful and stay around for a while instead of teams dropping out and new ones coming in all the time. They of course need to attract the right people who can make it work, but who, aside from billionaires, VC's or corporations, is that these days? All three of those are a finicky bunch and will bail once it no longer suits them unlike teams such as McLaren and Williams. Haas has a successful race team, so he's knows what he's in for. If he can't make it, F1 is in huge trouble.
