Mercedes-Benz are showing the manufacturers how it should be done. Ferrari are always going to be there because of the "special relationship" (unfair as it is).
But Mercedes are there to win, given their 1.5 bn loss in the 3rd/4 of 2009 it makes this news all the more impressive.

A poster alluded that in times of recession by investing more you stand to gain alot more than just making cuts as Honda(sadly) and BMW(less so) have done.
I would agree and I hope they do reap the rewards for their commitment to OUR sport.
Brawn-AMG? hmmmmmm :)

Wahahaha 2pac sunny andy and novice. I used optimax lubrication, high chance of big end blowing on this one! Schumi in a Merc should have happened in 1996. Jordan was right on a couple of pointers. Merc DID give him his F1 break and also gave him the platform to shine in sportscars. No bones about it, he owes merc here guys. Wether he does or not is a different matter altogether. But if we put Haugs(suprise everyone) comments along with Schumis desire to get back into an F1 car I think we can say there is a 50/50 chance of this happening. Eddie Jordan is still a prize plonker though, and really only on the Beeb for his loud shirts and ability to get up everyones nose(bernie apart) :)

WTF i agree with your sentiments about the car. Hakkinen had the best Schumi ALWAYs had the best Alonso et al have all had the finest machines. I suppose in a way it goes to demonstrate how technical F1 has become. I would love to see Button prove me wrong and beat Lewis next year, as it would be another surprise! As a betting man, my cash will stay firmly in my pocket for 2010. Suffice to say i think we can all say that there will be some huge surprises for 2010! :D

WTF Jenson is WDC because of Brawn. This is how he repays Brawn? Brawn obviously favored Jenson over Rubinho especially over the first 6 races. I will not go as so far as to say he is an undeserving champ, but he is a borderline case. I will also take back my brain cells comment and extend the olive branch :D

BA Zander is a ghost. I tried everything even Facebook! He is in all likleyhood waiting to comeback to F1. I think he is a decent designer, but for Brawn to let him go without much ceremony suggests he wasn't wholly responsible for their success. His stints at Williams and Toyota were also not spectacular either. Mercedes GP will be one of the front runners next year. Maybe not the fastest, but top 3-4

Taz no need, i got this! lol The same people who were lambasting Brawn as snidy and immoral for his treatment of Button yesterday, are congratulating Button on HIS decision to move to McLaren. A change of tack that quickly is quite remarkable! lest we forget it was Brawns fault yeasterday lol This is, as i posted yesterday all Buttons doing as it was when he was at Williams. Nothing against him, he did well to be a WDC. but his decison means he will only be a ONE TIME WINNER of the WDC :)
