Spies said there's no way he could've done what he did in WSBK if they were like the AMA tracks. The beautiful cathedrals of racing that WSBK uses with wide sweeping corners, apex's you only need to be close to and easy exits made Ben look good. As the chat on an American Roadracing forum populated with racers and filled with AMA racers including the like of Josh Herrin, Josh Hayes and even Ben Spies got around to discussing Ben's weekend...this is what John Ulrich ( Editor/owner Roadracing World Magazine)had to say: "Never underestimate Ben Spies." You Zane are doing that....and Ben will make you looked stupid next year. Just fair warning to you. He IS a nice guy, he IS blindingly fast and talented, and his performance next year will make you and your pet JT look ridiculous.

Ben and Colin are going to give Yamaha unbelievable moments next year. First of all....when Yamaha decides to do their kitschy little video's we have a perfect comedy duo. They really should try to do a "odd couple" 1970's TV show. Ben and Colin will be team mates in the real sense of the word and I think this will help to propel them up the ladder. I also believe that Ben will get Factory equipment and Colin will tutor Ben on it. Win-Win

I think MotoGP said get lost to JT. He did nothing, won nothing, gained nothing. Showed up by his team mate, and sent packing as soon as they could. He won't be missed.
