F1 » Dennis: No question we are going forward

tommytrojan1: Sadly, there was a time when practically EVERY driver wanted to drive for McLaren at some point. They nearly always had the best car and led the way in terms of team strategy and technical excellence. Moreover, their cars were always fast, straight out of the box in preseason testing. Lately they seem more intent on changing drivers, teams principals and just about every other management position instead of building a good race car to begin with. I know it's easier said than done, especially when they're always playing catch up (like Ferrari), but I just wonder why they've lost the ability to put a good car on the track, seemingly overnight. And by 'overnight' I mean from 2007/8 onwards...
Seems like more effort is being spend on their road cars.
