MotoGP » Stoner back in the hunt at the front

I am a huge sports fan. And in the grand scheme of things I think MotoGP racers, hell motorcycle racers period really earn their money. Very elite group with a skill set that very few humans have. Stoner has earned every single penny he has made. I for one hate to see him leave. But when you are telling the engineers the bike is bad and they tell you not to worry about because you are fast would not fair well with me for sure. Risky your life and having those guys tell you not to worry about it. Friend of mine called it and said he felt Stoner would retire this year and I said no way. And sadly for me anyway and to most real race fans we are losing one of the very best racers to ever throw a leg over a motorcycle in the MotoGP class. Fast really does not even begin explain what Mr. Stoner does on a motorcycle.

MotoGP » Stoner back in the hunt at the front

I have read some crazy stuff over the years around here. But I must say it is of my opinion that "don't forget we made him a star" is right up there with the best of them. I think the thing we all need not to forget is that if Casey Stoner would have been on the Honda or Yamaha either one I can assure you Mr. Stoner would have more than his 2 MotoGP Championships. Dang Roman get a grip.

MotoGP » Qualifying falls hinder Rossi and Hayden

Last race with Rossi on the podium gave race fans something to get excited about. The possibility that Audi/Ducati are making changes to make the suspension more adjustable. I for one hope that Rossi and Hayden both will be faster. Tired, really tired of the 2 horse race thus far this year. Dani and Jorge gave us a good race that for once was not one rider managing the lead and cruising on in for the win. Hopefully Ducati/Audi will understand that with their current output shaft location, is the real problem and have the stones to change the "Ducati DNA" mentality. Until then I think they will just be dancing around the 800 pound gorilla standing right there in front of them. Be great to see Rossi at the front dicing with Cal and Dovi instead of riding around with the third pack.

MotoGP » Ben Spies misses front row by a whisker

Smart move by Mr. Spies not pushing. Second row ain't bad but more important to me is that he has his #1 bike under him for the race. They did test here and have a good base setup. A click here or there during warm-up and hopefully we can see a good dice up on the sharp end. Be nice to see some kind of racing behind Jorge and Dani when the green flag drops tomorrow. Go Ben give em hell !!!!!

LOL...Just like I thought and so true to crashnet. Try talking about racing and here come the "kindly mosey on off into that setting sun, what a lovely view" post are there in minutes...Probably more like seconds. No big deal, smack talking and bashing are the norm around here. And hey au revoir nice job trying to up the post count of this thread. Do you have any comments that concern racing? How about your thoughts on how Ducati could raise the bar or pick up their game to get Nicky and Valentino up on the sharp end? Didnt think so.

@ bigfan6911 Well it is of my opinion that the more clicks the more money for crashnet. And further more that crash allowed people to post really nasty and plain ole stupid stuff to get real race fans to weigh in when the smack talking started. Threads with 500 post with guys going back and forth acting like school children. In my opinion it cleared out a bunch of guys who are real race fans and crash just became a bash-fest. No discussing racing just silly to my way of thinking. Now we have the mods trying to keep it civil. But I still believe the reason they do not make you register is some post are put here to keep threads going to make more money. Just too many post that looked to me to be the same guys just changing it up a little but not enough to make you not think the same guys where posting.

With Audi now in the picture, maybe just maybe they will get over the Ducati DNA routine and go away from the 90 degree motor. In my opinion it is the only way for them to get the counter shaft sprocket in towards the center between the front and rear wheel. With the length of the L90 it just seems like too much to ask. Dance as they may until they shorten up the motor it will be impossible to gain the ability to close the gap between the Honda and Yamaha's. That being said hopefully they will bring the new "cases" JB has rumored to around somewhere. Just very limited suspension adjustment with the output shaft so far back towards the rear wheel. Come on Audi you have some races to get a head start on the 2013 season. Bust out the new cases and get on with it now. Be nice to see Rossi and Hayden up on the sharp end.
