"You'd follow Jorge or Valentino at the end of last year and they'd just leave you after two corners"

We can only hope that the factory's give ALL the satellite teams and riders better support versus last year. Maybe this motor rule will actually help close the performance gap.

Had to be tough last year with the factory bikes just whoopin their ass bike wise. It is one thing to get out ridden. Another thing completley when they just ride away.

And yes. Mr. Edwards really has a way with his words.

The factory's are going to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Just like in the 250 class. Charging these outrageous "leases" for satellite teams that from the very get go are no where near the guys on factory bikes is what is wrong. They are going to let the factory's lease 800's? Why dont they just go back to selling the bikes. I am sure that the "owner" of a race bike has access to if not in house abilities to maintain and indeed make go fast the bikes they own. There are aftermarket performance company's that would love to get their hands on these race bikes for a fraction of what the factory will lease the bike for. But that would help the industry not the factory's.

Carmelo Ezpeleta can say whatever he likes. But the harsh reality MotoGP faces is the same demise the 250cc class faced. If something is not done to level the playing field between factory and satellite teams they will only continue what they admit is a problem. Sounds alot like the talk about Moto2. They have to get the factory's from completely dominating the series. But I have a bad feeling that history will repeat itself. He needs to lay off the pipe. Letting 800's run with 990's and will not implement a weight rule. LOL. Yeah right tell me another one Carmelo.

I for one think that the taming of the Duke will be good for all the Ducati riders. And to my way of thinking if it is easier to ride than the old bike Casey should benefit also. Hopefully his health/medical issues have been addressed. Be nice to see another rider actually be up front contending for the title. I for one think Casey is going to win the title this year.

"However, there is a point of transition from championship contender to development rider." I dont know about all that business. I for one hope he wins some races this year that do not read like Brno. The bike seems to be very good. With a years worth of setup data the Aprillia should be much improved for 2010. He is in a great place. Riding for an Italian manufacturer and he seems to have mellowed. Not all full of piss and vinegar all the time. Be nice to see a smile on his face standing at the top of the podium this year.

Well we can all cry like a bunch of pussies wether we be on the Hayden or Gayden side of the fence. But one thing we cannot take away from the man is this. Nicky Hayden won the 2006 MotoGP World Championship. As in numero uno, first, #1 in the world.

LOL. Trolling to make you write better books. I have heard it all now. No wait a minute here. This is crash.net home of the only forum I know of that will let you post without being registered. Just wondering. Why not register so everybody else can read your poweress as a wordsmith? Just a thought. Of course you will lose being able to come up with a snappy "Posted by" name. Oh well. Moving on. :)

Well if the motor did get trashed and the frame is toast maybe, just maybe Marco will understand how important it is to keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up. You gotta give him props for one thing. Going out on a slick track. I think that is why some of the other riders did not get many laps in Friday practice. Especially the rookies. Glad to hear Marco will not be down to 5 engines before the season has started. With Dorna and the FIM you really never know. :)

What I wish is that some of the guys who are not registered that actually add to the discussion not bash everybody would sign up. Be great to be able to go back and read their post without having to dig through countless threads. I guess crash.net really likes the snappy names guys give themselves as "Posted by". Seems they would want as many registered users to their forum as they can get. But I am sure they do quiet well without all that business. Just kind of aggrivating to have to dig through all these post to get certain guys thoughts, insights and opinions.
