F1 » EXCLUSIVE: Horner: Red Bull still Renault’s focus in 2016

LoveF1: Ok ok...maybe I ranted a little above. And some have made a valid point that when Red Bull were winning, it was also with Renault. But the fact is that Merc and Ferrari have now left Red Bull in the dust - and Reno have agreed it's their fault! They haven't argued that they have an excellent engine and Red Bull's aero package is rubbish - Red Bull HAS been asking Reno to improve the engine for several years now. So there you have it. I do not know about all the internal politics of F1, but the fact is that Red Bull do not enjoy being lapped or left in the dust by their competitors - so asking the weakest link to get its act together is to be expected! If Reno cannot stand the F1 heat, they should get out of the kitchen!!! Second rant over......
There is still no need to publicly and vociferously complain the whole time. Motivation is the key, hence Honda Mercedes. Do you really think, that Renault is going to 'up their game' any more than they alr

F1 » Hamilton accepts blame on ‘bad day at the office’

deejay1001:
primal: Sometimes doesn't matter what you do things just go wrong so it's just one of those days but no harm no foul he still walk away with an extended lead Deejay1Deejay1 what could/should him/team done better? ? You just have to take a stab at him
Where the hell do you think I'm having a stab at him? Do you not think Hamilton made mistakes? Do you not think the team let Rosberg go out on the wrong tyres? Do you not think if he'd been on the soft tyres Rosberg may have avoided the Riciardo incident & held on to second place & just possibly taken first? If you read my previous posts you'll see I'm obviously a Hamilton fan but I have no problem with recognising both he and his team are capable of getting it wrong.
It was Nico's choice of tyre, it was the best one for his set-up. It seems that if the driver OR the team insist on a call and it is wrong, the other is to blame, especially of there is an over-rule

F1 » Mercedes warned for Silverstone dummy pit

The rule has been in place for some time, it was obvious that this was a breach of that rule, noticeable to anyone who follows F1. A penalty to the drivers who have no imput to this breach would be unfair, so the team should be fined heavily. The fact that this did not happen shows that there is something fundamentally wrong with the implementation of penalties within the so-called sport.
