F1 » BBC, Sky Sports in joint F1 TV deal from 2012

Well that's it for me and F1 after this season. Can't afford Sky and even if I could I wouldn't waste my moiney on even more channels of what seems to be sheer rubbish. Totallly pointless only watching sporadic races. I wonder how long till the BBC takes another dump, this time on the MotoGP fans? I've got half a mind to delete all BBC channels from my freeview box once this season is over. I wouldn't miss anything.

F1 » Alonso clips Red Bull wings at Silverstone

Ferrari should enjoy their day in the sun. they'll be back to 3rd in Germany when the EBD rules revert back to that of Valencia. As for the team orders at Red Bull - so what? Firstly all teams use team orders and then the team bosss deny that they do. They are all hypocrites. Secondly, it is better to have both cars finsih rather than just one or neither. At that late stage in the race, lettin gthem race would have been stupid. Had it been earlier in the race then it would have been wrong, but with less than 2 laps to go it was the only option for Red Bull. After all, webber is not going to win the championship.

F1 » McLaren: Engine rules changed again in FP1

So it seems that McLaren want ot beat Red Bull, not by playing them at their own game and developing an EDB that is every bit as good, if not better than Red Bull's, and beating them fairly on track but by having the rules changed to suit them. A McLaren victory with the Red Bulls finishing the race will be a hollow victory, won through pester power and FIA rule bending and not by good hard racing. How very sporting(!)

F1 » Engine rule row twists again before FP3

In-season rule changes are unnessesary, unless on safety grounds. The EBDs should have been left as they are for the rest of the season but this is typical F1. A team that is leading has an advantage from something that the others didn't think of so it gets banned. Pathetic! The FIA should just set out the rules at the start of the season and leave well alone and then let the teams get on with it. I have the feeling that MrE as the F1 ringmaster has a hand in the EBD restrictions in an attempt to increase the entertainment value of this years season, but it has created a sh*t storm for the FIA. Just another step towards F1 becoming a single spec. series.
