F1 » Vettel: Hype around Schumacher will go

Cannot believe this garbage is still going on. Now we have Brawn Haters? He took your home-boy to the title this season, and now he is hated? Button had 10 plus years under his belt in F1, but Brawn got him the champiopnship--didn't he? Sure the hype will die off on Shooey, as it does every other driver comming out of the blocks. Unless he wins early. Vettel appears to want attention at this point, but why? He appears to be a good fellow and a darn good driver. Is he scared?

F1 » Schumacher F1 signing slammed by Mercedes board

Madman--sounds as though you want an only British series to me. "Colin Chapman, Bruce McClaren, Frank Williams". How about Dan Gurney or AJ Foyt. Personally, I thought this season was quite interesting, including the manufactures. The manufactures have been around since the begining in 1950. If you wish to roll the clock further back you will need to include Massy, Audi, and so on. How about we drag out the old machines as well. 4 cylinder turbos, strait 8's and I could go on. Silly really

Sorry folks but the majority of Merk road cars are overwieght sedans with pitiful gas mileage, at least here in the US. And they cost a fortune to buy and maintain--300 dollar oil changes, etc. They are for the wealthy and almost rich folks. No, Shooey will not sell more road cars because most are sold in America to the wealthy. Look up the numbers, however, oil rich countries are now taking over sales along with China. As far as unions go, they used to be the only hope for the working man, I know because was in several. However, European Unions are way different with 6 working hours per day and one or two hour lunch breaks-Italy. This has nothing to do with F1.

F1 » Silence is golden for USF1

JOSE@JD Wait when the racing begins--unless the US team is in front--will be NO coverage of them. And it appears they are hunting for a big pay driver at this point. Glad about your kid building a car, more kids should be into that instead of gaming. I remember setting points on a 100 Yamaha twin jet many years back and replacing the torn up side cover. Like most posters here, I got abit sideways one day. Nite all

See what I mean 107? And JD, no one has a heck of alot of 'substance' at this point anyway. And "victim," Americans are not, as you should well know. The negative feeling towards USF1 are a result of keeping quiet and Windsor and worry we may do well. I could care less what you prefer to blab on about, just want good racing next season, period. Hopefully with an American team involved. If not, I will continue to be a fan. You do as you wish

107SS20099 I do not throw anyone anywhere. But some of these posts are cruel and demeaning begining months ago. And you know what I am saying. Sure, most Brits dislike Windsor because he works for Speed Channel, and I understand that. But J Stewart worked for American television too. So what, we all make a living. But stating that Windsor is a dummy, as posted many times, is rediculous. And being a Brit himself, he is in a delicate situation running an American team. I am very steady and hoping for a great next season.

Finally some one asks, why hate USF1. Do you detracters NOT want the US to compete? And if so, why not? Are we substandard in engineering compared to Britian? Please do not forget the 17 plus American drivers who have competed in F1. Several won titles as well. Andretti, Hall, Hill etc. competed during the golden years and won. Granted, F1 is considered a European sport, always has been until the last several years. Force India, 'Toyota and Honda' saddly gone now and now USF1. And all the Asian tracks as well. Sure USF1 may fail, but so what? The effort to add to F1 racing, deserves consideration if nothing else. You folks try starting a full-on F1 team from scratch.

F1 » Brawn: We didn't push Jenson Button, he jumped

Why is everyone so worked up about Button-now going to a home team, Mcl? He made his choice, not us. Look at how Scott Speed was treated, not even close to this little thing. Button was not canned in the middle of the year or anything, was an end of the season thing. Drivers move around for all sorts of reasons, usually better cars and better contracts. Anyway, hope all had a good X-Mas and will enjoy a happy new year. Have a pint on me
