F1 » Donington F1 bid saved as Gillett finds the money

Correct John,Laguna Seca kicks butt, however, their pits have something to be desired and it is used as a track day course more than anything. Road Atlanta would be perfit, long, wide, undulations and with plenty of viewing areas. And the heck with the Dwarf, he has more money than he will ever spend. Really bad decision giving him commercial rights over F1. And consider the US buys more 'high end' cars from Europe and Asia than Britian or Europe ever will, yet no GP. Sort of sucks

F1 » Donington F1 bid saved as Gillett finds the money

How about a US GP? Canada went into hawk to get their's back. But no, BE and Comp. want tooo much up front and we will not give in to this. Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Sonoma, etc beat the crap out of Silverstone and you fellows know it. Money, money, money. Even Cleveland would stomp Silverstone for passing and excitement. Do not know much of Donington but has to be better than Silverstone's flat track. Bye

F1 » Ecclestone calls for Ross Brawn to be knighted

monarchys are ackronistic and outlived for the most part. The monarcy in Britian is a joke since parliment makes all the rules. So keep your Queens and Kings and pay homage as long as you wish. However, just think what could be done with the money going to support already super rich folks. I think I'll become a Duke or something, just takes a piece of paper. Really love that Mussolini was a knight himself. If BE wants Brawn to be a knight, big woop, he can join Mussolini in knighthood. What a club.

F1 » Ecclestone: We don't need a British GP

Boy you Brits are mad. Yet the US buys more cars from Merk, BMW,Volks, Porche, Toyota, Honda, Ferarri, etc than most countries, including Britian combined, yet we have no GP. Know why? We will not give in to BE's demands. And it seems as though you all feel as though you own F1. Well remember, MM and BE are British and together have drug us fans into this ditch. When AbuDie comes on next week I will not be watching as will many others. Think I'll go back to drags or anyrhing else but this crap. Sad situation indeed.

F1 » Todt to succeed Mosley as FIA president

All I see is hatred towards Todt. Some are calling for a replacement for MM by someone with NO real experience in F1.None, correct? Chill out folks pease or otherwise demand a live at home Brit to head the council and only live at home, and only British drivers and cars as well. Todt cannot be worse than MM over the last 5 years can he. Like the way crash showed him in aa Red Jumper. Smooth move to get you goig and going. Bye

F1 » Button salary dispute just tip of Brawn GP iceberg?

Racing chick, he (Button) had rides in F1 for 10 years and untill this season stunk, sorry but true. He had ONE win untill BRAWN came along and saved his career. In equal cars Button would lose everytime and you know this. Nothing against the fellow, but this crying about money with a team that saved him stinks, conlsidering the finance oppertunites at this time. AND Powerline guy, if you dislike the media anyway?,why bother warching F1 stuff? Sad thread

F1 » Button salary dispute just tip of Brawn GP iceberg?

Now. someone tell me I am wrong, but does he not retain hie duel citizenship right, just like about 1/2 of the F1 drivers--his duel Britian and Monte Carlo. This may be Warfare, but I feel as though Honda should of dumped him years do to performnce. The car, not Button won the WDC and Constructers Championship and everyone knows this. I did saw where Button sold one of his many supercars,. Guess the poor fellow needed rent money.
