BSB » BSB announces radical rule changes.

@ WIGZEY. I applaud visionary organisational change when it is required. The BSB racing has been great for some time now and doesn't need mucking about with to make it 'more exciting'. It's not a case of MSV having the balls to do it, as you say - anyone can do that. It's having the intelligence and understanding to appreciate when change is necessary. I would suggest that in this case, it isn't! Thumbs up to MotorSport Vison for actually having the balls to introduce such a radical change. We already have motogp and wsbk using the standard points system, I like the idea of doing something different with our domestic championship to make it more exciting. Posted by WIGZEY -

BSB » BSB announces radical rule changes.

I posted earlier in the day with a tongue-in-cheek comment but now I've had a bit of time to think about it, I'm no longer confused, just angry! The series worked well with the simple points system... no complication, no confusion and the best rider / team effort expended over the entire season won. Isn't that racing? According to the Lords and Masters I guess not. Like everything else, it seeems, we have to f**k it up with rules that are over complicated and totally un-necessary. My enthusiasm for the series has taken a severe knocking. Re-think the policy now, lead the lunatics back into the asylum and return to sanity.

WSBK » Stiggy Honda confirms demise

Really sorry to see them go as they did a fabulous job this year punching way over their weight. As has been elluded to, major sponsorship will only come with an increase in TV coverage and I fear that is not about to happen - in any of the classes. If the sport hasn't been able to benefit from the Rossi factor over the past few years then I doubt it ever will see the high profile coverage it needs. Sad but (I fear) true.
