MotoGP » Jennie Gow replaces Suzi Perry in BBC line-up

Give her a chance! She is not completely bike virginal as she has covered Thundersport GB club racing for Motors TV as well as speedway and motocross. Also, just for information, I believe that Jane Omorogbe was too busy with existing contracts to consider the BBC. As previous posts have eluded to, it's not Jennie Gow you should be complaining about, it's the fact that C. Cox is still in a job. Thank goodness for Mssrs Ryder and Moody. (Still miss Mamola though).

BSB » Camier uncertain over BSB rule changes

Steve (Jackson) I actually agree with you in that all I want to see is good close racing and whilst we shouldn't have to muck about with the rules, I sympathise with some of the comments made by Stuart Higgs. I blow hot and cold about this one but I guess I have no option other than wait and see what happens. I'm actually more concerned about the future of MotoGP than BSB.

BSB » Camier uncertain over BSB rule changes

continued.......... If you check the statistics, the 'mathematical' claims are validated. I have to say that I am now interested in the outcome and do not think it will be the downfall of BSB. I agree that from the purists perspective, the 'old' system was better but if the new system helps attract new money to the sport then I will support it. I know how difficult it is to gain sponsorship. Regarding a certain Mr J Palmer, I feel that overall he has added to the sport not detracted from it. Of course he's in it to make money but I applaud the improvements he's made to all the MSV owned circuits. Time will tell if the new system will work but I for one will not stop going to the BSB rounds.

BSB » Camier uncertain over BSB rule changes

Just to prolong the discussion, the following points were pointed out to me by Stuart Higgs as being key... -The points leader at 75% of the season has always won the championship -Mathmatically no-one outside of the top 6 has been within range of the points leader at 75% -The 'going into' the Showdown is unchanged - just closer -Teams/Riders have the motivating target of being in that top 6 which actually means something - in normal circumstances there is minimal recognition outside of the top 2 or 3. -The outcome isn't changed but the result is arrived at in a far more compelling way -Multiple points of interest which allows more teams and riders to get airtime/column inches.........cont'
