MotoGP » 'Huge change' boosts Ben Spies

@MdZane, There are a lot of quality young riders in the USA right now: Young, Herrin, Pascarella, Beaubier, Beach, Gagne, Fong, Aquino but I don't see any of them going racing in europe. It's not that they can't compete it's more that they wouldn't find a decent bike, (ie Roger Hayden on the Pedercini) or be given enough time to learn the tracks or the series. Total USA Gp riders EVER: 19, of those 16 have podiumed, won races or championships. (only 2 competed before 1976) Total English riders: 114? Total Australian riders: 48?

MotoGP » 'Plenty of margin' for third fastest Crutchlow

@MdZane, “I also made the wrong choice with the front tyre. I wanted to race with the hard one like Cal but I changed on the grid to the soft option as all the top guys selected the softer tyre. “But from the middle of the race I couldn't maintain my pace to stay with Cal and Dani,” said Dovizioso. But hey, if you say Cal "blew" him away before his tire went off, then it must be so.

Cal made a gutsy call last round when he was the only rider to choose the harder front tire. It payed huge dividends for him as his grip levels remained more constant as the others lost front grip. I personaly believe he would have been dicing with Dovi rather than Dani had he selected the soft front. Cal has started the season well, so far, it will be interesting to see if he can duplicate those results.
