WSBK » WSBK Portimao: Checa praises progress as Panigale cracks top six

Good news. It'd be great to have Ducati in the mix, too. We had 4 manufacturers in the top 4 at points yesterday (Aprilia, Honda, Kawaski and BMW) and it add some spice to the championship if the Panigale could bridge the gap to the lead 4 cylinder bikes. Aprilia seem to be on top, with Kawasaki and BMW the next tier down and then Suzuki, Honda and Ducati another rung below. Kudos to Jonny Rea for being able to get the Fireblade up in the mix with the quicker tools!

F1 » Button backs Hamilton pace

Is it just me or has Rosberg's performance this year in a better car shown that Schumi probably still 'has it'.? I'm not saying he'd be on the podium every race but I think in this incarnation of car and in the current field Schumi would've been getting regular top 8's and the occasional foray into the top 5.

WSBK » WSBK cost-cutting ‘framework’ agreed

I honestly don't see this as being a problem. Superbikes are meant to be modified production racers, and apart from the frame and the engine block there isn't much standard at all. When a Superstock bike can make 200bhp how much more does the superbike need? Limit the series to only running the same rider aids/electronics as the production bike and then we'll see costs cut. Should be standard frame, engine, sub frame, swing arm and petrol tank. Change wheels, brakes, suspension and mild tuning (to Supersport regs). Electronics as ONLY what is fitted as standard to the homologated road bike.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: Marquez improved after he copied our settings

Whoa whoa whoa! Dani explained that after a difficult weekend Marc was able to improve his setup and race speed by using the settings/data he had accumulated over the weekend. He's not saying he wants a wall, the guy, is slow, the guy is nothing without me etc.... He's just stating that Marc had big accidents and was struggling with setup but when he used Dani's data he was able to get up to speed. And crashed. Wise man say: To finish first, first you must finish. (And don't tell me it's easier to make a fast rider stop crashing than a safe rider fast, we're talking about world champions here. NOBODY is slow)

MotoGP » Pramac Ducati confirm Max Biaggi MotoGP test

Surely this is fuss about nothing? Max is reigning world champ, has years of experience, knows Mugello and of course lives in Italy. As some have said, he'll put in a few laps- slower than all the full time riders- and come back to deliver his feedback. They'll make changes, he'll run round again and debrief the team. Max will enjoy it, Pramac/Ducati will get some useful data regarding the direction they need to take (not setup data, just general feedback) and every one gets juicy PR exposure. If Max joins a MotoGP starting grid I would be shocked.

MotoGP » Michael Bartholemy (Marc VDS) - Q&A

A lot is said about Scott's weight- in this interview it says 25kg more than Marquez but where is this coming from? Sources suggest Scott weighs 74kg and Marquez weighed 57kg- 17kg difference. With the new minimum weight limit I think he's 12kg over? Of course it doesn't help but if you listen to Eurosport they make it sound like he's carrying an iron bathtub on the back of the bike. As far as top speed goes weight has far less to do with it than drag, anyway.
