WSBK » Haga back on the podium after last corner charge

Not sure why Nori is still held in such high regard? In 2009 he choked and allowed Spies to win the championship, in 2010 he was outclassed by Checa and in 2011 he's been pretty average. Brits seem to love him but the guy can barely speak English, so I'm not sure why he still has this following? As for him handing Biaggi his 'ass' on a plate, I've not seen anything to suggest that's likely anytime soon. One swallow does not make a summer.

RR » Dunlop bounces back for Superstock win

Dunlop in BSB? The guy is of course very fast on a road course (read 'fearless') but I don't think he's short circuit potential. Whenever I see him I can't help thinking that he's about 2 stone overweight- surely as a professional sportsman this is not good? That's another 14kg he's accelerating, stopping and turning. He's also awful in front of the camera- just not media savvy at all. A gifted rider, but I just don't see him as a complete package.

BSB » Tinmouth leaves Splitlath Aprilia

(sigh) So bored of this. Yes, she is a very talented motorcycle racer and could beat everyone on here with one hand tied behind her back etc etc... ..but if Guy Martin and John McGuiness can't keep up with BSB pace, why do people keep comparing IoM with short circuit racing? I read the comment a while back that her bike is slow and was getting gapped everywhere too, but if Alex Lowes can fight at the front on an Evo bike I'm sure the sbk spec Aprilia can't be that slow! People forget that top speed comes from corner exit speed. She tried, it didn't work, and now she'll move on to other things. No harm done- except to the egos of the muppets out there who said she was the next best thing to a female Rossi...

MotoGP » Honda to launch Moto3 machine at Catalunya

Can't agree with that.. At least Honda want to win and invest! Some people are really anti Honda, but why? KTM rolled out a 250 4 stroke bike last year but where is everyone else? Where is Aprilia? They have a 450cc 4 stroke v twin mx bike and modern 125 chassis- they should've been the first to give it a try! Honda went to the IoM and won- they still believe in Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday. They are proud, and yes, sometimes too proud. But they have , what, 4 factory moto GP bikes and 2 satelite bikes? If Honda pulled out MotoGP would be over tomorrow.

WSBK » Stunned Laverty stamps mark on WSBK

Thanks, Don-R. I knew the R1 was quick at Monza last year (fastest lap) but I just couldn't understand how it went from hero, to zero, back to hero. I feel sorry for poor JT, who apart from losing out on the improved R1 had his team mate score well yesterday. The BMW isn't slow either and he could've actually got some decent points. If he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

WSBK » Stunned Laverty stamps mark on WSBK

What I don't understand: 2009: New R1 wins BSB and WSBK. Everyone says it's a great bike. 2010: R1 is struggling internationally and domestically. People say it was Spies who made the bike fast and really it's a pig. Rossi has a go on it, it goes faster. 2011: In BSB Swan Yamaha is fast and it's back to the top in WSBK. What's the truth? Did Yamaha make a big mistake in 2010? Was the 09 bike good or not? Is the 2011 bike the spiratual successor to the 09 bike and flattering Laverty & Melandri? What does the forum think? No-one expected Marco to turn up and ride like he has. Let's put Elias on it and see what happens!

F1 » Ground effect abandoned as teams plan for 2013

As a huge motorsport fan who dreams of that elusive lottery win and running teams across various sports it still amazes me that people point the 'green' finger at the race cars/bikes themselves. The problem is the entourage of trucks and vehicles that follow the whole circus around! How much diesel do McLaren use in a year? I bet it's an awful lot more than the race fuel in the cars... How many sets of tyres do cars go through? 5 sets in yesterdays race- how's that for carbon footprint! More mechanical grip, less aero, longer lasting tyres and a limited number of support trucks and personnel.

MotoGP » Ducati two-seater rides available for Silverstone

Thank goodness for rich people! This is out of reach for an average Joe like me, so it looks like it'll be 'celebrities' or the top 10% of earners who'll have this incredible experience. I'd love to treat my girlfriend to this, but I'm quite confident the cost will be more than my monthly salary! Oh well, think she'll have to make do with going around the M25 on the back of my old sled...
