WSBK » WSBK Donington: Consistent Guintoli clings onto series lead

Can't think of a more deserving bloke to creep away with the championship after how many seasons of crap equipment and a bi-polar team. That said, the whole WSBK paddock is amazingly cuddly for the caliber of racecraft on display. Even veteran villains such as Biaggi and Melandri offer respects to their peers for having a better day - just fantastic racing no matter who wins.

WSBK » Sykes unfazed by rare front row miss

Sykes got robbed in last year's championship, happy as I was for Biaggi to be able to go out on top. Unfortunately the other teams have stepped up pretty significantly and I'm not sure the Kawi has it to keep Sykes at the head of the chase this year. Can't fault his riding for sure but there's a lot of deserving lads who seem in with a shout after testing. Ultimately this promises to be one heckuva season for all us watching from our armchairs.

F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Who was big 'down under' in Oz GP?

@OZFan "who is going to be dumb enough to get into that seat?" V.Rossi? It's not like his rep could fall any further... Button drove like a champion, doing exactly what he had to and no more. Perez and Maldonado both put in tremendous performances, hope they keep it up over the season and their respective teams can maintain development pace. If Kimi gets his Quali act together the Lotus duo have potential to be spoilers. Webber needs his starts sorted (again) to be in the hunt as his driving looked good. Seb needs to up his focus at Quali but is otherwise right there, I suspect he won't make that mistake again.

F1 » Massa warned to raise game

Ferrari have never been much for driver loyalty, and being 'nice' and 'talented' has done little for a parade of former drivers. If Massa does any less than win the championship I see Kubica seated at the right hand of Fernando next year. If the car isn't up to the challenge this year I'm afraid he's done even if he outperforms Alonso, which seems a stretch regardless.

F1 » Glock: I'm as good as Vettel

Well maybe he is and maybe he isn't, but good for him to maintain such unwavering self-confidence despite running in decidely inferior machinery of late. It wouldn't be the least interesting season if he dragged himself up the grid order on the strength of his convictions next year. Come on lad, let's see you do it!
