MotoGP » Honda would 'stop' if software is controlled

Nakamoto is a boof-head..Rider-aids are for pussies. Fans don't want to see the planets supposed best having their bottoms wiped by a computer. They don't want to buy new bikes at a 30% premium because it has a few geeky flashing lights on the dash. The majority love/ride bikes for the risk and the danger. Bikers on the whole are a bit naughty and rebellious. If we wanted to be safe and sensible, we'd take the air-bagged tin box. I urge everyone thinking of buying new, NOT to give their money to Honda. Vote with your wallet. Plenty of products from other manufacturers who haven't forgotten what the spirit of motorcycling is all about.

F1 » Double points confirmed for final F1 race

F1 is in the entertainment business and Vettel winning with 4 races left is not good for TV, circuit promoters or the fans. Double points at the last race looks to address this, but doesn't go far enough. BSB has the right idea with it's 'showdown'..where the top 6 riders have their points zeroed before the last 3 meetings(7races) with the addition of podium credits accrued previously, then there is balls out 'dash for cash' with plenty of excitement guaranteed at seasons end. It doesn't devalue a thing. Mint idea..get with the program you fuddy-duddy purists.

MotoGP » Aragon, Marquez, Redding

MCN today, BS goes further by giving an 'expert view' in a column entitled 'Lethal weapon' He talks about 'another mistake, maintaining safety margins and how MM is a bit lethal' and that's just the first short paragraph. He says Marquez doesn't think or calculate risk, mentions on-going cumulative problems and how riders will complain. Smith reckons he's 'missed out on results' because he DOES make those calculated decisions and decides NOT to pass. He finishes up stating '..unless he is penalised he will continue to do it' and '..he should be made to think about what he does on track.' my world we'd call you a grass. If you showed half the talent and bottle MM has this year, fans might take you seriously. You don't deserve to be racing in the top class. I am sick to death of the snidey, tell-tale attitude of prima donnas who think they're 5hit hot, but are babied by rider aids, and act like a bunch of old fish wives by ganging up. God bless Marco Simoncelli..

MotoGP » Rossi buoyed by 'great' qualifying

Before the season started, many detractors claimed Rossi was washed up and didn't deserve the Yamaha ride. This theme has continued through the year from the same gumbies whenever Val has not performed to standards they said were unachievable..beyond the great man at this stage of his racing career against the younger opposition. Time waits for no man..especially in sport. Rossi has been winning GP races since Marquez was a toddler and Dani and Jorge were in short pants at primary school. If he were to win the title next year, he'll be the oldest to do so since Read 40 years previously. There is little doubt he is in the Autumn of his life as a racer, yet he was fast and competitive yesterday. He usually goes better on raceday and for the sake of the championship, it would be good to see him get in between Jorge and Marquez bagging 2nd so we get to see the young Spanish gun put under some pressure on the run in.

MotoGP » Latest Stoner test wiped out by bad weather

Dacron..mate..stop it! I never thought Casey was the sharpest tool in the box, but you're not doing him any favours by saying he wouldn't be aware of the situation..especially after his very public stance previously. What about the news on TV and in print? You're next door to Japan fer chrissakes? It seems Stoner wants the GP door left ajar now after slamming it firmly behind him when he quit. I don't think he knows what he wants, and as usual is sending out conflicting messages. He could do worse than employ a decent manager because for a bloke who says he wants a quiet life, all he does is stir the pot by sticking his foot in his mouth every time he opens it. Many race fans would love to see him back on a bike competing. He retired too early and still has plenty to offer. You can't blame people for pointing out the contradictory nature of various PR faux pas and neither can you blame them for taking the pish out of blinkered #27ers who defend everything Stoner says or does...
