MotoGP » Nakamoto talks Stoner, Pedrosa, Marquez and more!

This interview is doing the rounds and was first published by sportrider.com who carry the full, un-edited version in which Nakamoto goes into more detail about his thoughts on Stoners 2012 season. He is scathing of Caseys crash in Germany stating he should have settles for 2nd. He reckons Stoners state of mind was affected and 8th at Mugello the following race AND the crash at Indy were a direct result. He also states Stoners decision NOT to take the 2013 chassis, that turned Dani's season around, was stubborn and immature. Crash & MM have both left out the bit where he gets stuck into Stoner..I wonder why?

Nakamoto.. "When Casey has confidence in himself and takes each race steadily, there is no other rider who can beat his speed. But then we had that crash in the final lap of Round Eight in Germany, and all our plans went out the window. In that race, he didn’t even need to win, finishing behind Dani would have been good enough. It was impatience that led to his crash and a no point race result. And this led to his behavior at the following GP in Italy. He couldn’t calm down and get his set-up done properly, and rode a poor race to finish eighth which knocked him right back in the championship points table. If only he had finished properly in Germany, he would likely have ridden as steadily as usual in the following races and possibly would have escaped injury in Round 11 at Indianapolis..(cont)

MotoGP » MSMA, Dorna discuss latest 2013 MotoGP proposals

At this level, the very pinnacle of road racing, riders are under public scrutiny. As world champ it helps all and sundry involved if you can talk positively with a smile on your face, maybe throw in a joke or two for good measure. It'called PR and the businesses that stump up money to pay big wages like to see a return on that investment. It's clear that some have no idea whatsoever how it all works. Like him or loathe him Rossi understands this. Stoner despises it and would rather race or go home without giving any thing back to the sport which has made him a very wealthy young man. MotoGP » Lucio Cecchinello - Q&A

Old school..calm, understated, smart and very determined. I love how the Italians always seem to bring women into the conversation helping to express their emotion. To a large degree the man responsible for launching Stoners path to the top for which, as real fans and whatever colour panties you wear, you've got to be happy about.

Not everyone has the personality to be a positive standard bearer as champ for MotoGP..Stoner falls into this category. If you look back at other racing champs such as Lawson, Doohan and Roberts..you could say they fall into that group also. Times were different then but you get my drift? Sheene, Schwantz and Rossi were/are more outgoing..not exactly less driven or focussed, just they seemed happier and more relaxed..the type of guys you'd be happy to share a beer with.

MotoGP » 'Pleased' Valentino Rossi bins 'bad setup'

The clue my friends is in staring you in the face.. 4 works bikes from Honda and a seamless shift box..oh, let's not forget no titles in 800. The field had moved on. Ducati's CF anomaly hadn't. Another point Stoner fans struggle with but hardly surprising seeing as Casey himself has said there was NO difference to the Honda from 10 to 11 and HRC didn't spend any more money trying to win that elusive title to save face.. Hahahaha..Insecure or what?

MotoGP » 'Pleased' Valentino Rossi bins 'bad setup'

Kiwi?..haha, please. Falling off 12 times is not the action of somebody who is not trying. I've said this before and never got a decent acknowledgement. On Rossi's debut at Qatar last year, when the bike was just about the same as the one Stoner hopped off, he finished 7th. He lapped as fast as he'd lapped on the championship winning M1 the year before while winning the race, and his race time was within 2 secs of Stoners 2009 race winning time...On his DEBUT daftlads? Explain that if he is slow and wasn't trying?
