MotoGP » Hayden: We can't expect a lot to change

In 2010, Stoner beat Hayden by only 21pts more than Rossi last year..yet the perception of many dingle-berries is Stoner tamed the Ducati while Rossi couldn't ride it. Hayden lead Stoner until the 8th race. The 62pt gap in 2010 between them, that was supposedly a no contest is way less than Pedrosa beat Casey by last year. The reality is..Ducati have dropped out of Yamaha & Honda's slipstream as a manufacturer and been on the slide since 2008. If Stoner hadn't left..Preziosi would still be banging his head against the wall with the CF monocoque bike, Casey would be sucking hospital food through a straw and Hayden finishing behind most CRT bikes. At lest the Rossi inspired ALU beam frame gave them a decent platform going forward. Here's hoping we see them junk that old dinosaur of an engine and make some progress next year.

MotoGP » Qualifying blow for 'competitive' Rossi

I don't think ANY rider likes being used as a tow for slower riders. Bautista, Bradl & Barbera are the worst offenders and this format plays into their hands. Marquez had to scrap his second run because he was so busy dawdling looking for a gap and trying to lose riders looking for a tow, he then wasn't prepared to risk pushing on a cold tyre. Stoner would have been apoplectic..throwing girly punches and ramming into offenders - which btw was why fans laughed at him and took the pish, not because he didn't have a point.

MotoGP » Crutchlow celebrates first 'true' pole at Brno

I was disappointed when the news of Cal's move came through because, like it or not, the Ducati is a dog. After seeing him progress and waiting over 30 years for a Brit GP winner, it was frustrating and I figured the wrong move for his career. Why not sign for another year on a competitive bike, carry on impressing with performances like QP today and back yourself against everyone else next year for a top works seat? You'd have to say MM & JL are nailed on to stay where they are for 2015 but, DP & VR??..I'm not so sure. If Cal had continued to improve on Sundays - we know he's as fast as anyone in practice - people would NOT have been able to ignore him. However, I accept his decision and understand why he's leaving Yamaha to potentially rot at Ducati. I hope he turns their fortunes around where Stoner, Rossi and the bloke who beat him on the same bike last year's just I won't be holding my breath.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner talks Honda MotoGP test - VIDEO

Come on 27ers? Whining about herewego when you lot get stuck in on Rossi threads at every opportunity is a bit girly. Sort yourselves out. Sure..Val is getting beat by Jorge, but did anyone expect any different? He's closer to his team mate than WC Casey was at the same point last year..and Pedrosa is no Lorenzo. Rossi has proved it was all Ducati's fault and he can still ride a bike..most of you gumbies said the opposite. As for Stoner..he says it all in this interview, when he refers to the lack of pressure while testing. Great rider but not the best racer come Sundays..unlike one two I could mention. Saying this - and as others have said - love to see him at Valencia laying down a mark for the new proddy RCV.. .. and hoping it may whet his appetite for a return in 2015, when the serial bridesmaid who trounced him last year on the same bike is out of contract.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

Come now Minpox my man..they are the facts. Casey was a fair distance behind the other two going into Indy 2012..and he only had 2 works riders to beat last year rather than 3 this. Like Dani & Jorge, he made a mistake and got injured..although I don't think Lorenzo would have taken 2 months off for a poorly ankle. It's clear that some die-hard #27ers are struggling to deal with Stoners absence and feel sad and bitter.. but no need to vent your anguish against Rossi on a thread concerning his ride from 9th to 4th..which most reasonable fans found entertaining. Wosi don't hate..he just thinks Stoner is over rated by most of his myopic fans. 7 seasons in GP and Stoner got beaten 4/3 by Rossi & Pedrosa. 3/2 by Lorenzo. That's not beating anyone or dominating anything.
