MotoGP » 'Pleased' Valentino Rossi bins 'bad setup'

One own-fault DNF in the races at PI if I remember right? The point is..you're making out the CF D-16 was a good bike and it's Rossi who is 5hite. This is fanboy claptrap. You say.."You don't get under my skin at all, I really don't mind if you believe in fairy dust, unicorns and every part of the bike needs to be changed twice to give enough feeling on the front to push." Then you say.."Why did he have 5 DNF's? He said the front was vague and had to be pushed hard.." Make your mind up?

Yeah..and where did Nicky finish? Forget the wins, how many podiums? Don't be a fool..how do you explain Stoners dramatic improvement on the RCV? You are a serial knocker Pal.. All wind-ups and pi22-taking aside..it's impossible to have a straight conversation about racing with with guys like you, with Rossi in the same sentence. Which is why guys like me get under your skin.

MotoGP » 'Pleased' Valentino Rossi bins 'bad setup'

"Ducati's dreadful design won a whole bunch of races, poles, fastest laps and podiums so I don't know if dreadful applies.".. Casey Stoner won on that bike..nobody else. Take away his efforts and what's left? Ducati were spoilt by his talent. He masked what a crock it really was but, Casey won just 3 races on it in his last of 4 seasons with them..his lowest total during that time. He also crashed a lot more trying to make up for it's deficiencies. 4th two years on the trot. 10 wins and a WC on an RCV last year shows just how far the bike was away from the opposition. The new bike would not have happened if any other rider, including Stoner, had been on the bike last year. It's a brave new world for Ducati and Rossi. There really is no option for either to back out now without looking silly..it's a project that has to be seen right the way through, narrow angle V-engine and all if necessary. This is just the start.

MotoGP » Stoner: We can still improve the bike quite a bit

@doggius.. HRC going backwards was the bet son, not Casey winning again..and the 'points' element IS generous. @rxracer.. Yes mate, I do get tired having to constantly point out to the fawning Stoner masses how brand new they are. You need look no further than the recommended comment for this thread for proof. Blind fanboy hysteria agreeing with total b0ll0x. Stoner has proved what a great qualifier he is but he's supposed to be testing. Saving engines is not an issue. Sunday night after Jerez he said he was 'tired'..haha. He may be the fastest round a track but his personality is flawed. Casey is not good under pressure and seems to have no plan B in a race if he can't scarper. The way some of you guys talk the championship is over before it's started..IF Lorenzo and one or two others can unsettle him, he's vulnerable.

Be happy to Natedoggius..a nice juicy bone would probably have us both slavering, so let's make that the prize? How to define 'backwards'? Stoner won 10. Pedrosa 3, last year..out of 17. That's a 76.4% win ratio. I think it will be less 2012. Between them they scored 569pts from the same 17 races with Dani missing 3. I think they will score less..which is very generous I think? C'mon..slap my hand/paw.

Aaaah..that's better. Settled down with a nice cold Strongbow after a proper days GRAFT! The ducofhazard seems to get the drift..Tyres could be an achilles for Stoner. Contrary to the rest of the grid he prefers the code 24 tyre, dismissing the bulk of the preference for the #21 tyre by predicting the other riders would come round to his way of thinking once the racing starts and they push a bit harder. This prompted Lorenzo to scoff that Stoner must be a psychic if he could predict how other riders' tyres would react. What he should have said is.. "Casey..you've only done 3/4 lap stints and haven't even experienced the drop-off in performance of the new construction Bridgestone..what makes you the expert pal? This ain't qualifying it's testing and btw, have you sorted that chatter out yet?" Expect HRC to go backwards this year under the direction of Stoner and Pedrosa.

Haha..take it easy lads. I may not be Caseys biggest fan but, there is no questioning his talent and pace. What I am questioning is his commitment and work ethic..he's an Aussie after-all? The bike has documented issues. Stoner himself said they needed to work harder yet, the lowest lap count of anybody all winter? ONE third distance race simulation at the death? These are valid points are they not? Casey is great when he's happy/winning..let's hope for your sakes he DOES know what he's doing, because if it starts to go a bit pear-shaped, he can't ride around the problems in a RACE and the dummy starts to re-emerge..it will be very interesting indeed. He's odds-on favourite, you should be loving life..just saying I'd think twice before putting my house/kennel on him..and there could well be a few homeless #27ers by November.
