MotoGP » Recharged and ready

If I remember right..many fans asked how come Cal got his ride in GP and laughed at the thought of him being better than Spies, a nailed on 5th alien..haha. Not only is Brad higher in the standings with 50% more points than Crutchlow had at the same point in his debut season..he's finishing a lot closer to the front. Give the expert analysis, and Smith a break.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner talks Honda MotoGP test - VIDEO

Come on 27ers? Whining about herewego when you lot get stuck in on Rossi threads at every opportunity is a bit girly. Sort yourselves out. Sure..Val is getting beat by Jorge, but did anyone expect any different? He's closer to his team mate than WC Casey was at the same point last year..and Pedrosa is no Lorenzo. Rossi has proved it was all Ducati's fault and he can still ride a bike..most of you gumbies said the opposite. As for Stoner..he says it all in this interview, when he refers to the lack of pressure while testing. Great rider but not the best racer come Sundays..unlike one two I could mention. Saying this - and as others have said - love to see him at Valencia laying down a mark for the new proddy RCV.. .. and hoping it may whet his appetite for a return in 2015, when the serial bridesmaid who trounced him last year on the same bike is out of contract.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

Come now Minpox my man..they are the facts. Casey was a fair distance behind the other two going into Indy 2012..and he only had 2 works riders to beat last year rather than 3 this. Like Dani & Jorge, he made a mistake and got injured..although I don't think Lorenzo would have taken 2 months off for a poorly ankle. It's clear that some die-hard #27ers are struggling to deal with Stoners absence and feel sad and bitter.. but no need to vent your anguish against Rossi on a thread concerning his ride from 9th to 4th..which most reasonable fans found entertaining. Wosi don't hate..he just thinks Stoner is over rated by most of his myopic fans. 7 seasons in GP and Stoner got beaten 4/3 by Rossi & Pedrosa. 3/2 by Lorenzo. That's not beating anyone or dominating anything.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

Ahem.. MM is leading the standings by 22pts. This time last year Stoner was 3rd, 21pts behind team mate Pedrosa and 39pts behind leader Lorenzo. Casey had just come down from the ionosphere covered in snow after making a mistake in Indy QP that saw him push too hard, too soon..(sound familiar?)..and was about to fall further behind and completely out of contention because he needed 3 races off to recuperate..(sound familiar?)..from a twisted ankle. The only thing that needs swapping out, Pooscooper..sorry Rooshooter, are your orange tinted sunglasses for a pair of regular bi-focals from specsavers.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

Deary me.. the bitter #27ers are out again..moaning about the state of racing..pushing their bottom lips around in wheelbarrows. "Rossi ripped the sport off..rather watch Casey circulating on his own from the empty stands chewing on my soggy sarnies..he doesn't deserve respect for providing racing entertainment on the way to 4th..who cares who finishes 4th..?" So..did you all stop watching 2009 and 2010? What about last year?..or does finishing 3rd - while getting slapped by a team mate who's won now't - change everything? hahaha..

Talking TV.. I thought it was hilarious on Eurosport.. Ryder, who hadn't spotted Rossi was closing fast on Bradl and the battle for 4th, launched into his usual, 'Rossi's having a disappointing weekend..lucky to salvage 6th' A couple of laps later Val had passed the German, joining Cal & Alvaro and Ryder squeaked excitedly.. 'He's right on their tails now..' Toby Moody said.."But I thought he was having a bad weekend two laps ago?' Splutter. Choke. B-B-B-B..Silence.

shanefireblade says.. " I'm a huge Stoner fan, but since I don't follow anyone now.." Hahaha.. I think Casey got out just at the right time. Not sure he'd have been able to take being owned by MM after Dani last year? Well done to 'Sniffer' Smith. Nice to see Bautista racing hard & fair. Some good battles spoiled by the TV director.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi praises new Yamaha gearbox

Dave..get real? What if Cal started taking points off Jorge with the super slick box? He wants to win a race before Ducati wrecks his career and would have no compunction about doing it to get back at Jarvis. No..Brad is a safer pair of hands. Perhaps they'll let him keep it and make Pol wait for one until the middle of 2014? Let's get a petition up..all those in favour say AYE.

While it's true that Cal had to deal with more prototype opposition than Brad in his debut season - CRT bikes weren't allowed then - Smith has finished more often and on average, closer to the winner than Crutchlow did. Not only this, he's been consistently narrowing the gap and improving, even while carrying a nasty hand injury. If he can continue progressing and winds up the season regularly beating the Ducati's and racing the satellite Honda's, the kid will have done good. There would have been no justice if he had got the flick from Tech3 because Yamaha got all in a muddle over their rider contracts.
