F1 » McLaren can manage two megastars, insists Haug

To all these clowns who think that teams prepare cars differently for different drivers: what planet are you on? F1 is all about engineering excellence. The difference between two cars from the same team is infinitesimal before the drivers add their own settings. The designers, technical directors and engineers just wouldn't countenance working in a team where there efforts were diluted to massage a driver's ego. You just have to look at Villeneuve and Hill in 1996 to see that drivers can be the opposite ends of the set-up spectrum and still both be fast. The reason Kovalainen is slower than Lewis is that he can't set-up and drive the same car as quickly and as well as Lewis.

F1 » F1 is 'worse than Eastenders', claims Horner

I disagree, Fred. Christian Horner IS doing something about the image of F1, and he has been for some time. His team is open, friendly, (apparently) honest, and pretty good fun. That is miles away from the oh-too-cool image of Ferrari or the obsesive-compulsive-disorder image of McLaren. Remember when Horner lept into the pool at Monaco in nothing but a Superman cape? You don't get that in Eastenders. (although maybe Britain's Got Talent or Total Wipeout...)

F1 » Renault reveals decision on F1 future

I'm pretty confident the Todt will be worse, not because of a lack of a competence but becasue of a love of power. Vatenan, however, is the polar opposite. He probably couldn't run a p!ss up in a brewery but he is not an egotist. In fact he wants to decentralise (if I'm not too much mistaken) the president's power rather than concentrate it in one place. Todt will love being the supreme ruler, which is a good enough reason for him not to be.
