MotoGP » Crutchlow's Ducati 'in a different place'

Nick636: @ Motojunky I notice this recurring theme of posts on here... And i feel obliged to respond every time, but, CAL HAD NO CHOICE!!! Smith had another year on his contract, Yamaha were adamant the wanted Pol Espargaro... So Cal was pretty much going to be without a ride this year anyway... Besides, 5th and 6th beats the h3ll outta Tech-3's double DNF...
Agreed. Like Dovi, Cal wanted that factory ride to have a seat for the future. What's the point of playing 2nd fiddle to the factory squad that most likely will not change their riders any time soon? Shame for Nicky in the end, though.

MotoGP » Broken collarbone for Pol Espargaro

JackSMU: I believe MotoGP bikes work in the same as other racing bikes with regards to the gear selector. 1 up, 5 down.
Thanks for the clarification. I could have sworn I read something years ago that neutrals were placed on opposite ends of the gearbox, but it looks like it was bad info. EDIT: I guess I got my info from MotoGP onboard graphics regarding the gearbox. So, I assume they have it all wrong? tinyurl.com/leroess
