MotoGP » Eugene Laverty 'wants MotoGP with Aprilia'

@ shamarone "Camier hasn't gone anywhere, Checa hasn't gone anywhere, Guintoli hasn't gone anywhere, Rea hasn't gone anywhere, Baz hasn't gone anywhere, Haslam hasn't gone anywhere, Sykes sure as hell isn't going anywhere, Melandri and Davies don't even have jobs for next year and even THEY haven't gone anywhere. " Not for lack of trying on the part of Rea and Melandri though. Both are desperate to get out of World Supers and into MotoGP. Unfortunately for Rea, his leg break came at a bad time, while Melandri couldn't make it into the NGM Forward or Aspar teams and so will probably replace Eugene at Aprilia.

WSBK » Sam Lowes tests MV Agusta Superbike

Agree with tomcol, it HAS to be Moto2 for Sam, and from there on a progression into MotoGP. Maybe with Tech 3 if he can set aside the Yaknich contract. WSBK is a dead end series and Dorna will keep on dumbing it down until it's just an EVO proddy ch'ship. No major MotoGP teams will recruit from WSBK in future, all the riders will come from Moto2. And Sam is no spring chicken when you look at the ages of Redding and Marquez. If he has any serious ambtion to go to MotoGP (and I know he does), then he has to start graduating towards that now. WSBK would be a big mistake.
