MotoGP » Marquez brothers split from VR46 merchandise

Yes Yes Yes Leave Me Alone: Must have been Rossi's doing
No, it was a move by the Marquez family to end the arrangement, and in fact VR46 Racing Apparel reportedly sought compensation from them for wanting to terminate the agreement. early. As VR46 is run by members of Rossi's official fan club, it's understandable that Marquez suspected there might be some bias when marketing his products. It doesn't end there either, as the Marquez bros have also terminated their agreement with GP Rooms, the mobile hotel service provided by the Nieto family. Pablo Nieto, of course, is team manager of the VR46 Sky Moto3 team. Seems the acrimony from last year isn't going to fade away anytime soon.

MotoGP » Read, Gardner discuss Rossi, Marquez clash

Is Gardner even aware that the penalty handed out to Rossi was not to "put him at the back of the grid". The reason he had to start at the back was because of the total number of penalty points accrued over the season. And the penalty was not incurred for making Marquez crash - that was never proven - but for deliberately slowing and running him wide. Which Rossi himself admitted doing. They're entitled to their opinions on the incident, but neither seem very well informed on the facts.

MotoGP » ‘Best yet to come’ for Bradley Smith

lynx: I will be impressed if he beats Dovi's tech3 record.
Dovi? He's got some way to go before he even equals what Crutchlow did at Tech3. #35 scored 6 podiums over his second 2 years with the team compared to Brad's 2. Smith made a big leap this year, no doubt, but this is still so far the weakest line-up in terms of results that Tech3 have had for several seasons. Good luck to him, but I think Dovi's record is going to be safe for a while.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I was better than Rossi in everything

Yes, Jorge is the fastest. Can't argue with the stats. But he's also quite fragile and prone to crises of confidence if things don't go his way. That doesn't necessarily equal a world title. Fortunately for him, things went his way this time (it didn't rain too much). I do wonder sometimes though if he might not be slightly on the autistic side. A prodigious talent on a motorcycle but seems completely unable to engage with people in a normal and natural way (i.e. without sounding rampantly narcissistic or egotistical). He certainly does live in Lorenzo's Land.

MotoGP » Rossi blasts Marquez after MotoGP title defeat

I never really understood what Rossi hoped to gain by 'exposing' Marquez. It really hasn't helped him in any way, and all he's doing with each new accusation is making a lifelong enemy of Marquez, who is younger, faster and will be in the sport for many more years to come. It wouldn't surprise me if MM had resolved after all this to try and make sure Rossi never wins another race or title again. He's certainly not going to roll over like Sete did, that's for sure.
