Sykes has only himself to blame for losing this championship. Too often in races he's yielded positions instead of scrapping for them, and only really excelled when the bike is perfect for him and he can shoot off into the distance. He's just played things far too conservatively this season.. Anyway, I'm just very Guintoli won it. The right result in my view.

I doubt it. The Ducati will be developed around its most successful riders (Dovi, C.Joe), and that is never going to work for Cal. Not only do they ride very differently to Crutchlow, but the weight distribution is very different, with Cal being one of the shortest but heaviest guys in the class. The Duke is never going to work for him whereas the Honda - for some time developed around the shorter rider (Stoner, Pedrosa, now Marquez) - just might. I think he realised a good while back that any chances of the bike being developed to suit his requirements were nil.

I think Bradley might just keep his seat due to the lack of viable alternatives. All the likely options are being shut down. I know Sam Lowes was talking to Herve about riding the Tech 3 Moto2 bike before signing for the Speed Up outfit, but that would be a risky signing given the steep learning curve he's experiencing as a Moto2 rider. He is British though, and a Monster sponsored rider, so politically a good fit.

Some folks claim Crutchlow is hopeless with the media. Well he and his management have just used the media to 'encourage' Ducati to fund a factory Honda ride for him next year. Not too shabby a move for someone who is allegedly non-media savvy. Not to mention that Ducati themselves did a U-turn on an agreed contract back in 2012, forcing CC to go cap-in-hand back to Tech 3 for another season. The code may be strict when it comes to rules on track, but when it comes to team and management politics, anything goes. And Ducati play the game the same way as everyone else.
