MotoGP » Rookie Espargaro: ‘Hey man, you’re in third!’

It should be clear to anybody who's watched GPs for any time - and especially those who've followed the smaller classes - that Pol E.'s talent and natural ability is in a different class to Smith's.That's not hating on Bradley - it's just the way it is. There's a reason Espargaro is a world champ and has a factory contract in his pocket - and it's not just because he's Spanish. Give him a few more races and Brad won't be able to get near him. And nobody should be surprised when that happens.

MotoGP » Dovi: Top four ride in a completely different way

Actually Dovizioso & Crutchlow are saying exactly the same things: CC: “The situation is bad, it's tough, and I don't see that we are getting much better ... the distance to the winner is way too far" AD: “If we see the 27 seconds we can't be happy..and this is the present reality ... we haven't had any big new material. We are not where we want to be.” The message to Ducati is the same. Except that for some reason Crutchow takes flak for saying it and Dovi doesn't.

MotoGP » Dovi: Top four ride in a completely different way

What a racer is going to say is going to be very different if he has a mic stuck under his nose in the heat of the moment as opposed to what is said once they have time to gather their thoughts. Even the placid Dovi has been known to lash out and throw a punch if he's rattled enough. For some reason there's a popular perception that if Crutchlow criticises the bike then he's being disloyal and ungracious, whereas if Dovi does it then it's fine and warranted. Double standards, it seems to me.
