Grand AM » Grand Am announces 2010 TV schedule

Frank do you mean the American Le Mans Series? SPEED does show the ALMS and in fact was set to show all 10 hours of Petit Le Mans earlier this year if it didn't rain out. Next year SPEED is airing 7 of 10 ALMS races with CBS broadcasting the other three. I agree however that SPEED should show V8 Supercars, DTM, WRC (although HD Theater picked it up), and others. Hopefully they show better coverage of the Grand-Am Koni Challenge.

WRC » Monster World Rally Team confirms WRC entry

Are you people excited for Block's entry high? Travis Pastrana has won four consecutive RA Championships. Block? Zero. Block does have seven RA victories to his name however, I'll give him that. Pat Richard won two consecutive RA Championships and now two consecutive Canadian Rally Championships. Both Pastrana and Richard are more deserving of a chance at a WRC drive. Of course they don't have the money the 42-year old Block does so it doesn't matter. He's an exciting driver to watch when he does his stunts, but as for rally talent, there are better drivers in North America, let alone the rest of the world.

ALMS » Highcroft to continue with Acura

Kris: Audi has not announced that they will return to the ALMS for 2010. I doubt they will return though with the new rules for the prototypes, there's not enough class distinction. If they do return to Le Mans with the R15 I'd be surprised if it was a factory effort. In the past with the R8 privateers have run and won Le Mans including Champion and Goh so they may go that route.

ALMS » Highcroft to continue with Acura

It'll be interesting to see what cars the ARX-01c will be competing with next year. Combining the two classes, or slowing down the P1s and speeding up the P2 is not new, it's reverting back to 2007 where the RS Spyders could and did beat the R10s. I wish Audi would return but it will continue to participate in the P1 class for Le Mans and may not want to take part in a series that does not distinguish the two classes.

F1 » Lopez offered 'conditional' USF1 drive

With costs being so high, it's either manufacturer teams (which so many are against) or pay drivers (same goes). With the manufacturers leaving, it's inevitable to foot costs that there will have to be pay drivers. Back to USF1, I would like to see a car at the very least a piece of one, to see they are getting something done.
