F1 » Button and wife gassed during burglary in France

Racemaster: Foremost, just glad that no one was hurt. If they were in fact Anesthetized involuntarily, things could have ended far more dire than they did. Someone would have to know precisely what they were doing to fill an entire house with just the right amount (a lot I am assuming) of gas to only knock out the occupants! Then you have to ask where these serial robbers are getting the gas from in the first place! Sounds like this has been going on in that region for at least 5 years!
Following the subject after this "Button gassing news" experts has been quoted as saying that gassing a house through the air conditioning system is highly unlikely.

F1 » Honda: We didn’t imagine F1 comeback to be so hard

Wrong. BlackMike is spot on. Arai himself says a dyno is totally inadequate and performance and reliability of the PU can only be adequately assessed once it is in the car on a circuit. McLaren built a 'size 0' chassis that compromised PU design and there was clearly a lack of communication between the two companies on this. Seems Arai himself never said that "a dyno is totally inadequate" no engineer worth his salt will ever say that. The size "O" build you talking about (Ron speak) is not new, in fact it migrated to McLaren exactly from RBR. Both car design (tight packaging) did cause PU problems, but that does not absolve the PU manufacturers from their short comings. In the old days when FERRARI where doing the most testing on their own track, McLaren were the prime movers to have testing cut.

F1 » Ericsson: Sauber's 2016 plans convinced me to sign

tommytrojan1: No offence intended, but what exactly were his other options? it's not as if he had the chance to step into another drive. Nevertheless, I hope his optimism bears fruit next season at Sauber. It would be great to have as many cars at the sharp end as possible instead of just making up the numbers.
Logic tell me that anyone of the Sauber drivers had not one but another four chance of finding another seat in F1.

here4thesun2: cont'd "To Sunny's point, there is nothing wrong with the current Formula. Everyone signed up, for their own selfish reasons. So there is no reason to tear up the regs book. Let's go racing" Yes that's what we have because that's what all concerned signed for so FFS lets stop all this negativity about the sports we follow. And please take my word for it, I did not (when they were being formulated) and still don't agree with the new formula rules changes, but as stated above, that's what we have, because that's what everybody concerned signed for.

F1 » Button and wife gassed during burglary in France

Racemaster:
107SS2009: Unlikely I grant you. Just what I read in MotorAuthority who were quoting the Sun... so take it for what its worth I guess. Not that the Sun is anything but reputable : As I always recommend on here, one has to sieve carefully what the British media pushes out. The police were not and did not say they are convinced burglars gassed the house, they took blood samples and are waiting on results to determine if gas was used. I tend to believe more what I called the experts (The royal college of anaesthetists "RCA") whom I quoted, I believe they are more credible on the subject at hand. "We are highly sceptical about robbers using anaesthetic gas, in our view it would not be possible to render someone unconscious by blowing gas agents through the window or air conditioner".
