MotoGP » Catalunya MotoGP: Rossi ‘Barcelona very important after recent results’

Agreed Codger he is lost in qually and having to cut through the pack to not lose sight of the leaders. If he continues to start on row 3 these kind of situations are likely. However I still think he has better race pace than Dovi or Cal and pose a threat to the others if he was say fourth coming out of the first bend

MotoGP » MotoGP Jerez: Rossi 'expected to be faster'

I will support him no matter what but I think what he has lost possibly from the injuries, the Duc and Simo is the willingness to take risks. Plus I think Honda have made a march as this was a pretty dominant display at a track tthat is arguably a Yam track. However Rossi only finished 3 secs behind Jorge so about 1/10th of a second per lap over race distance. Hardly earthshattering, and I still think we will see improvement as the season goes on. Also Lin Jarvis response in relation to the incident and Jorge's reaction was interesting

MotoGP » MotoGP Jerez: Marquez move inspired by Rossi

Well done Marc I would point out that when Jlo closed the door he hit March halfway along which would indicate he had made the pass yes he came in hot but no one died and Jlo left the door open. What I like is that the everyone being nice has left the building, no more Dani, JLo Stoner processions someone to mix it up. As for Rossi well yeah not what I wanted but hey fourth will have to do. Jlo has already come out stating the M1 cannot win the championship against the Hondas and you could see Rossi really struggling. However I think he is playing much safer which is a limiting factor.

MotoGP » MotoGP Jerez: Pedrosa wins, Marquez bumps Lorenzo!

Wow Marc great effort and was is funny is that Marc will head to Le Mans thinking nothing of Jerez and JLo will still be seething. Reminds me of a similar rider who refused to shake hands and never was the same. As for Rossi yes maybe the writing is on the wall but we will see as the season unfolds. Also loved Lin Jarvis' view. Should be an interesting situation in the Yam camp tonight...

MotoGP » MotoGP Jerez: Rossi best qualifying despite fast fall

Aus I think MichaelG comment was a polemic statement rather than statement of fact. The fact is Australian's are renowned for the tall poppy syndrome, and this comes from an natural born Australian. While I have no doubt of Stoner's skill I found his attitude in most cases pretty appalling (Last race at PI and he got his minders to refuse a 5 second Channel Ten a piece to camera). You don't get that with Rossi. Anyway he has gone fishing and slipping back through the order in the Dunlop support series.

MotoGP » MotoGP Jerez: Rossi best qualifying despite fast fall

Look the fact that he starts in front of a number of riders for the first time this means that hopefully he won't get tired up by back markers like usual. People talk about Cal but it is pretty obvious that he cannot maintain that level for the race and I cite the breaking duel with Rossi that sent him off the track as an example. So podium it is. Also I don't mind people disagreeing and maybe he is getting old but to be in podium contention says more about the others than it does Rossi.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: We can be very fast at Jerez

Fast Eddy, Two major injuries wrote off 2010, and 2011 and 2012 were on the Duc which many have indicated is as much the bike as the rider. I would also point to the hype around Dovi that on the same bike he is sitting 8th and Hayden 9th in the standings. As for Rossi getting in their heads I think JLo etc are not as easy to play as say Stoner, or his earlier foes like Biaggi. Equally, I think too many want to read mind games in to what Rossi says. "The sky is blue" becomes "Rossi says sky is blue a direct reference to Dani's poor performance on track". It's all garbage but equally you are misanthropist.
