MotoGP » Hayden: Door not closed on Ducati Austin test

@Ash if the system is doing didly squat surely the Ducati "system" should work at every circuit. Why the endless analysis, it is obvious that Ducati are the problem not the riders and maybe Audi are biding their time and over the season a new bike will emerge. As for Ducatisti, yeah Rossi was obviously the problem hence after two years off a Yam he places third .1 behind his team mate. Take off the blinkers, Hayden has been the most outspoken he has every been and Dovi looks like he is about to cry...

MotoGP » Nicky Hayden: Ducati need something big

I read on another forum how Hayden was as fast as Rossi on the Duc. As others have stated Rossi made a difference. And finally the voice of reason, only a blind man could not see that Duc are the problem not the riders, I firmly believe that Stoner new what was wrong just as Vale did they won't listen. And every year Duc stands still while the other move on which is why comparing what Stoner did in 2010 to what Vale faced in 2011 and 2012 especially is flawed Yam and Honda both made major steps particularly in 2012 and Stoner would have faced a similar outcome possibly falling more often as he tried to do the impossible Vale simply decided I am not going to do, common sense in my opinion especially if the factory ignores you.

MotoGP » Pedrosa ends day one on top at Sepang

Seriously Phnom maybe it is early days and the first day of testing but I am sure that Dovi is having that sick feeling that Rossi had on his first dry ride of the Duc. The bike went backwards every year since 2007. One frame change and ECU change that fritzes itself and you think Rossi was the reason the bike hasn't developed Rossi and Stoner left Duc for exactly the same reason. And unlike you they gave it a shot.

Truefan last I checked circuits had bends and it is the bends where the Duc comes unstuck? And I fully accept that Stoner could ride the Duc better but I also feel he was prepared to push it more. As for evidence I thought I gave some. 16 wins on trellis, 6 on CF with 5 dnfs in his last season. He also decided to jump to Honda, which would be strange if he felt it was a clear WC winner (as distinct from a race winner). As for being owned your words but let look at the facts, both Dani and Casey confronted with same rule issues, Dani wins 7 completes season takes it to Jorge and beats Stoner in the only head to head clash that season where Stoner crashes. Stoner then crashes and writes off his season. Correct Casey often touted as someone with the ability to ride around issues was not owned by Dani.

Bo who says Rossi's performance stayed the same to that of Honda. Give me race by race data showing that the gap did not change. It is pretty much accepted that from 2008 Duc did not advance compared to Honda or Yam and that 2011-12 was simply a continuation irrespective of whether changes were made (frame etc). As for a winning bike yes in 800cc it was and also did well in 1000cc testing. However two things relative to the Hon and Yam very little changed for the Duc in moving to 1000cc at that testing session and you had a rider with 4 years experience v one that had never ridden it. Jorge has clearly stated that in 2012 the Honda clearly made a step forward and that is also supported by Dani winning more that season than any other. The odd bit is that he owned his team mate who then crashed and ended his season... Testing is not races and the trend in race wins is clearly backward even under stoner. With the increased competitiveness of Honda in 2011 and more so in 2012 und

Thank you Codger the voice of reason, I agree in trying ever harder to win on that bike he would have had a very major off. To me he was very lucky with injuries in those 4 years and look at 2012 was on a bike with a much better temperament and had a season ending injury. He only had to fall slightly differently on the Duc and it could have been career ending. And despite all his getoffs people still wonder why Rossi would not take it over the ragged edge and yet still finished lead Duc both years
