MotoGP » Double winner Rossi ready for ‘great fight’

As stated we are talking about a 35 year old. And if Yam had reached the potential they are showing now at seasons start it could have been even more interesting as we can that MM under consistent pressue isn't the demigod many thought. I want Vale to beat JLo to second a) because I am a Vale fan but also b) it will really stir JLo up given the whole no2 rider thing also we don't have to watch the black mamba crap anymore.

MotoGP » Crutchlow: Hopefully we can push a lot harder

It will be interesting to see how crutchlow goes on the factory backed LCR. Excuses will not be tolerated on that bike and given that Bradl has not set the world on fire, he has it all in front of him. If he does not set the world on fire (and we are talking nipping at the podium regularly) then WSBK is looking good, as I think Pol and Aleix will be happy to step in. EDIT by CRASH.NET! Rider insult removed.

MotoGP » No seamless downshifts for Yamaha

Crazymofo that is some of the best creative writing on Stoner I have seen. The changes in electronics and gearbox that pushed HRC back to being the best bike were developed in 2010 before Stoner even through a leg over, he just benefitted from being Johnny on the spot, eerily similar to his first WC at Ducati, and like that WC the following seasons he could not maintain the form. Also another poll will Honda pull out when the control ECU comes in? My view is that while it won't create a fully level playing field as there are no restrictions on the software written only the hardware it should restrict Honda's dominance somewhat. Imagine how tight it would be with Yam seamless up and down as they are starting to close the gap despite this obvious benefit to Honda.

MotoGP » Rossi rolls back years with ‘Island victory

Codger: AusRossi......."..........to the team no2." Have you got that right, or did you slip it in for fun ? :)
Codget kind of, I think if you asked JLo, Rossi was definitely coming in at number 2 after the lost years at Ducati. The only person who did not read that memo was Vale. Also let me clarify on Burgess, I think Burgess was tired and also did not think Vale could win. Equally, while a great crew chief I think the greater use of technology on the bikes had passed Burgess by and that showed in alot of bizarre setup mistakes. I have been informed that Galbusera is all over the electronics side and you would have to say that they are demonstrating continuous progress in setup at each meeting which was not always the case with Burgess in 2013. Finally, JB has either been with the clear favourite rider, bike or combination of both now he did not get there by accident but Spencer, Gardner, Doohan and then Vale hmmm crew chief or rider?

MotoGP » Rossi: Fight for second ‘getting interesting’

My view is that MM crashing while trying to pursue Rossi was evidence enough that Rossi has the skills and strength to win against MM right now. As others have pointed out anecdotally Honda would seem to be the better package particularly due to the stability under breaking that a seamless both ways gearbox provides. Also the Yams are getting stronger or is it the riders. Either way that is two major brain fades for MM in two races. It is highly likely that coming into Motegi he will be thinking more about not dropping it than putting it up the inside.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi wins dramatic Australian MotoGP

Gecko: I voted the MotoGP race a disaster !!! I take my hat off to Vale for a fantastic race, but he was lucky that his main competition dropped it because of the bad supply of tyres. Marc fell, not through bad riding but being caught off-guard by poor Bridgestones, and Cal was catching hand over fist and had the same fate with his Bridgestone front tyre. His team mate, who was very fast at the beginning, had to slow and take it very easy at the end to make it home. If this is what the control tyres give us in MotoGP then it is time to get rid of them and bring back a competition between tyre manufacturers.
I think you will find that he was catching Jlo hand over fist but the gap to Vale remained pretty static.

MotoGP » Marquez ‘trying not to think’ of MotoGP title chance

Delay Delay Delay is the name of the game, MM will wrap it up but to scotch the change at Motegi would be gold for Yam. Apart from a break in transmission by Rossi (which was in many ways bad luck) I think Rossi is improving rapidly and will be out to make amends and JLo will try to cement his grip on P2. I think the pressure is building on MM and I think he is not good at riding a controlled race it is either zero or 1. Rossi and Jlo annoy him for 3/4 of the race and then see what happens.
