MotoGP » Texas secures MotoGP round for 2013

It is my understanding that the original reason 125GP and 250GP were left out of the Laguna Seca weekend was that 2 strokes are banned in California. If I am mistaken, perhaps someone from California will correct me. I think there are two possible reasons why Moto2 has not raced there. One would be that the promoters are waiting for the agreements they have with the AMA to expire, the other would be that the promoters are happy with the mix they have. I hope adding Austin will erase Indy from the schedule. The track surface there makes it a very dangerous place to race.

F1 » FIA approves Korean GP circuit

Is anyone here old enough to remember the US GP in Dallas? It was sometime in the 80s I think. FIA broke their own rules and raced on fresh tarmac. The track turned into two ruts surrounded by loose bits of tarmac very early in the race. Any driver who got out of the ruts went straight into the wall. It was a very expensive day for the teams and a very boring race. I hope that doesn't happen in Korea. It seems like the FIA has a very short memory.
