Bravo, Aprilia! I can't understand why any manufacturer (other than Honda) would have any desire to compete in this stupid class. It does nothing to promote the brand.
Bring back the 2 strokes!

Sir Jackie was my first racing "Hero". I followed his career through 3 World Championships and was sad (and glad) when he retired while still at the top of the game. Who knows how many more races and championships he could have won but so many great drivers died in that era... He contributed much to driver safety and continues to be an outstanding ambassador for the sport.

At Rawdawg, I still back Aprilia 100% and for the reason they atated. Granted, they should have simply said "No" from the onset to such a ludicrous class, but I defend their right to back out now for whatever reason. I don't think even "Mad Max" Mosely or Bernie Ecclestone would propose that a major manufacturer use someone else's engine in their product.

Good interview. I know the ALMS series isn't very popular here but please keep posting the news and interviews!

At Alex, Spies test times were done on the Tech 3 bike. LOL, as a Bush hater myself (I'm American) I'd have to say vice president **** Chaney was more of the anti-Christ sort. "W" was just stupid.

@ SW and the other anti-Indy guy, In 2008 the riders raced under horrible conditions at Indy and no one crashed. That doesn't sound like a dirty, slippery track to me. Blaming the track for a boring race is just ridiculous. Unlike Europe where one can travel two hundred kilometers or so to see a race, the U.S. is huge. Having a race at Indy allows those of us who don't live on the west coast, over 3,000 miles away from me, to attend a race. I've been there and it's not a bad track.

I'm no fan of Paul Gentilozzi but it's nice to see another manufacturer in the series. Great lookin' car!

@ Jodas, I see your point and am not trying to start an argument. :) It's just that traditionally that term is reserved in the sports world for someone truly gifted and special. Guys like Federer, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Michael Jordan, etc. We'll agree to disagree. :)
