F1 » Arrivabene urges Ferrari to avoid ‘fake’ Friday runs

I don't remember when was the last time I've been reading something as harsh with themselves, coming from Ferrari, let alone from the team manager. (Useless to even think about SD coming up with such a statement). I also don't know (and nobody does, I think) if they will really be able to further push their technical boundaries, in order to catch Mercedes this season, but I have to salute MA's attitude to quit looking in a false mirror, at least !

F1 » Vettel seeing positives despite Mercedes margin

You don't have to be a fortune teller to foresee the overall season's podium exactly as it stands for now, in spite of Nico's win. The gap is narrow now, I admit, but should Nico succeed to grab the title, that will be a big surprise. Moreover, such a final might partially save an otherwise boring season. NB- I have intended to place this comment at the standings link but no room for comments out there.

F1 » Vettel hails ‘phenomenal’ start to Ferrari career

It has been a phenomenal start, I agree, especially when that happened right after a far from phenomenal season. Maybe Ferrari were over encouraged by their relative pace, showed in the winter tests (and that will be an evidence that it's not always useless to look into a false mirror, eventually ) to have a rocket start right after that. Or maybe it was Mercedes themselves who probably failed to start on the right foot, but, even then, it was not very difficult for someone to foresee that the normal order will be resumed soon. I wouldn't question why Ferrari were not able to keep up with that starting pace, but, if I were in the Vettel's shoes, I would better watch out for the Williams boys not to steal his best of the rest place, instead of keeping his eyes, ceaselessly, onto the Silver guys, long gone into the distance, already.

F1 » Ecclestone: Mercedes not to blame for ‘one-sided’ F1

Good point, Bernie : it's to do (always) with the people ! The problem is that the guys in charge to turn the things in the right direction are sometimes reluctant to head off the wrong way. Why should they, as long as the cash is still flowing ? It's naturally easier to think that all the bad things happen because of the other guys, but not themselves.
