F1 » Alonso ‘an indecipherable character’ – Costa

I have never been a fan of Fernando Alonso. Maybe it was something related to what Costa has now revealed : an indecipherable character . It may be one thing when someone as us, the fans, says that FA is not decipherable and quite something else, when that is coming from a guy like Costa . But we should not let sympathy to judge the greatness of Alonso, instead of putting in the balance his performance related to the racing material he has had, through the seasons. His greatness is maybe better revealed by the way in which all the other people from the grid (drivers or staff) tend to consider him as a benchmark.

MotoGP » Miller to join Crutchlow at LCR?

I think the world of motor sports has got simply no more patience to find a rival for MM, as soon as possible. The ultimate reason can not be other than the everlasting one: the money ! The beginning of melting the rules has been already made, the latest example being with MM himself, promoted directly on the first class beast at Honda. If they are to find sooner a rival for him, they probably will have to go the same way, to say the least. The temptation to use the shortcut may be even higher not because Jack Miller is an Aussie, yet because he is not Spanish. But to find quickly a proper rival for MM may be a different story, whoever that guy might be or the way of finding him. Breaking the rules by promoting the guy directly from moto3 could pay off but, most probably, it won't.

F1 » Vettel: Gap bigger than we had hoped for

Objective: I was expecting Rob to be the first on here to congratulate Vettel on his excellent qualifying lap.
Sorry not to meet your expectations !:) On the other hand, if you do like Rob's comments, please consider that I might have given him a help to keep his rating undiminished. Praising Vettel may be always a risky adventure, around here and this risk gets higher as he shows again some glimpses of the old Vettel. But if Seb will end up on the podium, the risk I took (on behalf of Rob :D) will be then rewarded.

F1 » Vettel: Hungary not a turning point

About the rumours now: RBR has not reached that long desired turning point , yet Sebastian Vettel may have done it, regarding his career. The fans and, much more, the haters would rather want to find out what kind of stuff he is really made of . There is still some way to go to achieve what his famous fellow countryman did. The missing link is to repeat performance, within other team. It may be always hard to leave a winning team and his a/m countryman did so once, but, it has to be said, the things are not quite similar : then, the team, in spite of winning two titles, was not quite at the same power level as the strongest of the grid. Now, RedBull, while still one of the strongest teams, it may lose the title most probably. So, if there is a time for Vettel to make a turning point, then this may be it.
