MotoGP » Hayden confirms Aspar, upgraded Honda plans

Whatever might lie ahead in Nicky's career, we should be grateful to him for what he achieved in motoGP, during all these years. We shouldn't forget that he was the first one to interrupt Rossi's, already long lasting, winning gallop. And, above all, don't ignore that he is an American ! Pay attention, especially, to the last sentence, because he might well be the last GP champ, from the land of Uncle Sam, for some years to come ! With a view to see him back soon, in the saddle, I wish him : - Good luck, Nicky son !

F1 » Vettel: Hungary not a turning point

About the rumours now: RBR has not reached that long desired turning point , yet Sebastian Vettel may have done it, regarding his career. The fans and, much more, the haters would rather want to find out what kind of stuff he is really made of . There is still some way to go to achieve what his famous fellow countryman did. The missing link is to repeat performance, within other team. It may be always hard to leave a winning team and his a/m countryman did so once, but, it has to be said, the things are not quite similar : then, the team, in spite of winning two titles, was not quite at the same power level as the strongest of the grid. Now, RedBull, while still one of the strongest teams, it may lose the title most probably. So, if there is a time for Vettel to make a turning point, then this may be it.

F1 » Vettel: Hungary not a turning point

These small steps, allowed mainly by the software, have proved to be never enough to catch the leader. As such, the horizon of the RB's hopes to shorten that distance, has gradually moved from the "next few races" after the season started, to "the summer" and it has reached "towards the end of the season", now. This means they have just reached the moment of truth : no further need to declare "We may have lost the battle" .

F1 » Lotus keen to keep Grosjean

It may be logic as dramatic changes in the rules to determine significant movements in, and between, the teams. F1 can expect that in the next two seasons. Romain is still a promising guy but who, unfortunately, was caught on the wrong foot (or, maybe better said, in the wrong team) by this time. Therefore, he should look for a faster and healthier boat, otherwise we might assist to another vanishing talent. Such a boat seems to be a Mercedes propelled one, these days. But to jump in it, it might be another story, a kinda fortune based one.

F1 » Mercedes boss injured in cycle crash

Ohh, a heavy fall indeed ! Thanks God it hasn't been worse ! Cycling, while not seen as dangerous as other sports, keeps his amount of unpredictable and danger, and from time to time can strike as harsh as any of those, unfortunately. Good to see some humor in the attitude though, in spite of that terrible wound ! Good luck, Toto and keep closer to four wheels, it's safer !

F1 » Hungary ‘a good opportunity’ for Red Bull

We only can hope that Mr. Horner has really got something, in the bag, for Hungary, and for all the races remained in the calendar, because, if he won't, then the gallop of Mercedes will continue, way longer after 2014. There is utter evidence that Mercedes has come in front to stay there and not for simply interrupting, on short term basis, the Red Bull festival. And no, I don't want the Bulls to regain the dominance they used to, at all costs, but I want real competition.
