MotoGP » How long for Ben Spies to win again?

Valentino Rossi praised Ben Spies, ... “Quite impressive from Ben,” he said. “From behind I thought Spies had crashed and not Lorenzo, so I thought it was the opposite. Spies today did a great victory so congratulations to him. He is always very fast in Assen and it looks like the Yamaha here has the potential to beat Honda.”

WSBK » Aprilia bitter over ‘severe’ Biaggi penalty

Paolo Ciabatti, director of the WSBK series, when talking about Max Biaggi's ride through penalty in race 2 at Monza. As far as the incident with Biaggi was concerned, Ciabatti had no doubt in his mind: “He was outside the area marked with the white lines, as the TV images clearly demonstrated. This was already enough to penalize him, but the data also showed he gained three tenths in the process." Everything was quite clear then, even if some fans at the race, and watching on TV, didn't want to accept the ruling. Perhaps they were unable to distinguish Biaggi's cut of the chicane from all the others. "All the other solutions were ruled out for homologation reasons - Ciabatti clarified - we couldn't even put the barriers there, as we did four years ago."
