MotoGP » Rossi inspired by Laguna 2008 memories

@ RFS 131 Absolutely bs. 1) Rossi's both wheels was out of track and then he goes to Stoner racing line forcing him very wide. If you ask me, race direction should gave him at least "go back to previous position" 2) After that Rossi brake check Stroner in turn 11 which is not illegal, but is desparete unsporting move, thats why Stoner was so mad about him.

MotoGP » de Angelis to replace Ben Spies at US MotoGP

Spies' recovery is taking a very long time, an indication of the seriousness of the injury. The shoulder is the most complicated joint in the body, and Spies suffered serious soft tissue damage. Such injuries are slow to heal - Valentino Rossi estimated that he wasn't really at 100% for 6 or 7 months after his shoulder surgery in November 2010 - and can be delayed if not handled properly. Spies' decision to go testing in Malaysia, three months after his surgery, proved to be the wrong one. When he then tried to make a second return at Mugello, he quickly realized his shoulder was still not strong enough, and it needed more time to recover fully. Riding with his shoulder still weak would have been dangerous, not just for him but for other riders. He had decided to return only once he was 100% fit and ready and able to ride a racing motorcycle. Before making a final decision to race, Spies would test himself on a race bike, preferably his MotoGP bike.

MotoGP » Rossi jokes at chance of repeating 2009 pass

Alvaro Bautista says his first lap pass on Valentino Rossi at the point where the Italian overtook Jorge Lorenzo to win the 2009 Catalunya Grand Prix was the most pleasing moment of his ride up to sixth in the 2012 edition of the race. “...The most pleasing thing about the fight with Rossi was that I passed him in the same place he passed Lorenzo for the win in 2009.” We want more of this!

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi's salary still highest in MotoGP

@Motojunky They pay him that money on account of his pr and marketing services, because they know and hope that money will back to them + more. They know very well that he is not championship material any more, so his job is marketing and JLo job is to win the title, simple as that. He contact them first, so he was so desperate to rid from Ducati, and was not in position to dictate contract clause. They offer him option for superbike 2015 which means they count him on R1 (no more MotoGP) for pr and marketing services in future.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi's salary still highest in MotoGP

@ Ammar Because that info is in Forbes that not necessarily means that is a truth. And even it is a truth, that's probably salary for two year deal, IE 6 m. per year. @Motojunky ... most people thought Rossi had "burnt his bridges" at Yamaha, and would never again get a start. Makes you laugh doesn't it? Yes and no. He got deal only at the insistence of Yamaha's pr and marketing departments (because they need money). Racing department was against his services, Furusawa said that. This means that they need him only as cash cow, and i am sure he knows that very well.
