F1 » Button beaten to Sports Personality award

@andrew mac An award like SPOTY is taken very seriously by sportsman BECAUSE it comes from the public and not sponsors etc and Jenson does do his talking on the track, just look at Brazil. @2pac There is no need to personally attack me. That is rude and uncalled for. You do not know me, have no idea HOW I feel about british sport or how much I go out of my way to help and support it. You are just typical of this site, where everyday people are belittled and harrased for their views. It is very close to bullying and you should be heartily ashamed of yourself.

F1 » Button beaten to Sports Personality award

@andrew mac I care actually! I have loved watching SPOTY for as long as I can remember and I always felt that the right person won, except last night. I have no doubt that Ryan Giggs deserved an award, but a lifetime one. The cricket team did not deserve it when you compare them to the ladies team, Brawn and IRC. It was completely ludicrous and I can only blame the BBC for going up against that stupid programme that I will not even mention. I do care! Its an award from the "people" supposedly and I am one of those people and I feel like I have been robbed quite frankly and I am damn angry about it! I was shocked for a good twenty mins after the announced the winner!

F1 » Brawn: We didn't push Jenson Button, he jumped

What a load of tosh! Jenson would have loved to stay with Brawn in 2010. He was not given a choice, jump or be pushed, so he took the respectable route and jumped. And he has down bloody well for it and its going to make 2010 very very interesting. Lets hope @Richard does not take offence to THIS posting! and I might be able to keep a posting on here for at least 5 mins?

F1 » Schumacher: I did tire of F1, but I never truly left

Schuey should have his own team rather than racing again. He is a huge (cheating) talent with a wealth of experience and knowledge of F1, I have no doubt, but he should not be racing. I think that with RB he is going to be a force to contend with, just by force of personality and he will definatley intimidate some of the younger, less experienced drivers, which could be a good or a bad thing. We are just going to have to wait and see what happens in March.

You lot are so mean, it makes me feel quite ill. Clearly, from the standing ovation he received at the very beginning of the show that he was the most popular, but what happens with these programmes is that people who would have voted for him decided not to as they thought he was a shoe in, and voted for someone else instead. Also you had all that silliness with X factor going on. I still beleive that he is a very worthy winner, more so than Lewis, but if the press had not bigged him up over the last few days and made us think it was a foregone conclusion, then he would have won for sure and Jess Ennis would have been second and not third!
