MotoGP » Rossi, Burgess discuss shock 2014 split

remember when Rossi ditched Honda? Michelin? Yamaha (he came back)? Ducati? This is vintage Rossi. No one should be shocked. To me, you cant really dress this up any other way. It is a very, very public firing. JB himself says he was blindsided. Rossi is a sportsman. In a way I can see why he did what he did, eliminating variables, to regain competitiveness but to just get rid of a guy who you called a racing father is downright oedipal.

MotoGP » Lorenzo seals memorable triumph, keeps title race alive

i hope Yamaha gives all their riders strong, fresh motors to take the fight to MM and Honda. for JLo to take this, he needs to somehow goad MM into a fight where he can make a mistake, and or fall out of the race. If he was smart he would use the media now to call him out ramping it up all the way to the race weekend. Rossi needs to get in on this too. We havent seen this since 2006. If MM plays it safe by just doing what he has to do, then it won't be as exciting. I think we all want to see a RACE.

MotoGP » More surgery for Ben Spies

i wouldnt say his 09 R1 had an advantage. They did have some problems with the machine if I recall and had his share of retirements. His talent was high and he flat out outrode all the riders that year. His time at Tech 3 was very credible. The Yamaha is a good bike and he should have been able to do more with it in '11. 2012 up til now is forgettable. And now, I think he is on a bike that will really punish you if you screw up. Its sad to see, but he is on his way out of this series.
